Such beautiful views! What a contrast between the Sierra Nevada and the RV Park! Yes I make the best hb eggs with the Instant Pot (IP); 6 minutes on steam then a 6 minutes ice water bath to stop the green ring from happening. Irene I always enjoy your cooking insights and look forward to your IP experiences you will share with us. Have fun at the RV Show and I look forward to your videos. Thanks guys and kisses (always) to the beautiful Pistol. 𝐈 ❤️ 🐶
Mt Whitney is the tallest mountain in the lower 48 states. What is interesting is that only 85 miles away Death Valley has the lowest point in the lower 48.
Your guys rocks, the landscape rocks, even the stone rocks and what next, the music rocks..oh man..i am so glad you maked it to the show. i can not wright more now because i must see the video again. Rock on.
Another amazing video, and beautiful place to visit. Thanks so much for sharing. We got our stickers in the mail earlier this week!! Mine is going on my kayak, my daughter is saving hers to put on our camper van (some day!). Thank you so much!!! Safe travels.
UG!... I saw a campground yesterday that it was literally back to back campers and RV's... And I was like UGGG NO! Isn't for this gal....... I can't help but laugh because back growing up that is what we called Camping... ROFL!... and being able to look into your neighbors living room threw your living room window use to be AWESOME to me LOL! Yep NOPE! Can't hang with that any more.. LOL!.... My Dad was a Big KOA Fan... LOVED the Alabama Hills and Fossil Rocks ... WOW!..... I love seeing places like that.... Simply Amazing!...
Another uplifting vid. Thank you for making Monday awesome!!!!!. Give Ribs a try, in the insta-pot. I recommend finishing on a grill or in the camp oven.
Its a good thing you mentioned where you folks were, bec if I had to guess, I would’ve said MARS! That terrain & those rocks WERE AMAZING LOOKING...awesome site! My mom always said to never eat anything bigger than my head - that egg salad sandwich was GINORMOUS...but very delicious looking at the same time 😋 You weren’t kidding about the culture shock thing! It was like going from peace, calm & serenity to NYC Times Sq in a blink of an eye lol! I like being at RV Parks in the middle of the week, during the off season...not as packed & busy during that period! Have fun at the RV show! 👍👌😎✌🏻
Carey On Vagabond Awwww, thank you so much! I’ve been following them for about 3yrs now, and they came here to meetup with me back in May! It was so cool to finally meet them in the flesh! Cheers as always 🤗
Love the Alabama Hills & Fossil Falls too! Have done both hikes and really enjoyed our time at both places (did videos on both places as well)! And yeah, RV parks - just not our style either. Ha ha on one of you getting candy & one getting beer. I usually go for the wine & Jim goes for the beer after crazy traffic!
First hike I had a hard time keeping up with your fast pace, but the second hike was easier.😉 What an adventure to see the rock formation. The more you use the iPot the better it is. Spaghetti super easy to make, but need to break the spaghetti noodles in thirds (for mini iPot). Takes about 8 minutes to Pressure cook. Google recipe but usually for 6 qt iPot so need to reduce a little for mini iPot.
Hey guys, thanks for sharing the A.H.! Spead pass that spot for years on our way to ski Mammoth Mt. Never new it was there, but high on the list now as we ready for full timing. Your freeway time lapse took you into the year 2019 according to your time stamp and you were not even driving a Delorean! New sub 'n 👍!...p.s. your editing comes across really smooth! Nice job! Aloha 🤙
😂I didn’t notice the date stamp until now! I pulled that footage off our dash cam which I typically never use for vids. I would love to ride in a Delorean someday..but it doesn’t have a bathroom so I’d probably have to pass. 😂 Seriously though you’ve gotta check out Alabama Hills. It’s so beautiful and free. My two favorite things. You are going full time? What are you in? Hope to see you down the road!
Super interesting place at Fossil Falls. On my bucket list. BTW if you are ever without an Instant Pot just boil eggs and immediately run cold water over them for a couple of minutes or put them in ice water and they will peel real easy. PS Some Instant Pot users cook cubed potatoes in it and put the fresh eggs on top....voila....make potato salad ingredients.
That area of the Sierra Nevada is so beautiful & your new camera looks really good; I noticed the clarity. Looking forward to what you find at the RV show. Happy trail.
I'm pretty sure I saw a box of stickers a couple of videos ago, so I'm patiently waiting to hear when they are going to be available for purchase. Just to let you know...
Dwight Finnestad You did! Thanks for following along! Message us your address on Facebook or email (careyonvagabond@gmail.com) and we will send you one. No charge:)
LOL you guys are so much like my wife and I. She has to have her sugar fixes and I would indeed prefer a good beer. ;-) Yeah I avoid major cities at this point. Far too stressful regarding traffic and mega population.
Fossil Falls looked really cool! I will have to check that out one of these days. Irene we seem to have the same guilty pleasures in common...love me some squirt every now & again! Lol 😂 Once again it was great to meet you guys at the show despite the rain I had a good time. I’m sure we will meet again somewhere down the road. Safe travels can’t wait to see your next destination
the new camera is fabulous. great wide screen shots. my dad use to climb Mt. Whitney. did it over 40 times. fall-less falls? lol. Instant pot is a hit. One RV park in two years is a good ratio, LOL. SO sorry about driving in LA. ACK!! DANG that park is crowded yikes. Back to nature ASAP!!
All i could think about was the movie Tremors while watching this video, which ironically was filmed out there. It was one of my childhood favorite movies. It would be nice to find the spot where they did the boulder pole vaulting scene.
There is a museum there about all the movies filmed there and apparently the location of where they were filmed. Every time we’ve been through there it’s been closed🤷♂️😁
That landscape was very cool. You don't worry about rattle snakes, do you? The sandwich looked amazing. I love when you show what you're eating out there. Are you selling your stickers?
Vansion. Living We do worry about rattlesnakes😳 Mostly when it’s warmer out. Right now we are just giving the stickers to those that ask for them. We appreciate you following along! Message us your address and we’ll mail you one:) Facebook or email. Careyonvagabond@gmail.com
@@CareyOnVagabond, thanks for the info on the snakes. I am a newbie to those areas, I deal with Alligators, and sharks down here. Lol. I sent my address also.
Other than finding a rattler coiled up in our silverware drawer in Palm Desert, (yes it skipped a beat!l) they're pretty hard to sneak up on while on a trail. In the rocks though it's "stick 1st, step 2nd!"
Tony Davis We did! Thanks for the feedback! It’s the new GoPro Hero 7 black. I think we talked a bit about it in the last video. Still learning with it but we like it so far!
Overall video quality is better, but something about the skin tones and color saturation occasionally makes it look a tad “unreal”. I’m sure it’s totally a personal preference thing, so I’m only commenting and not criticizing. 😎 Good idea to eventually spend more time in the Alabama Hills and 395 corridor (think natural hot springs!). I lucked out the day I spent there and got a shot of Mt. Whitney framed by Mobius Arch. But there’s so much more to see there, including skywatching on clear nights.
So, would you mind, in the videos at least, to keep Pistol on a leash? All of the BLM lands requires it and while you don't have an aggressive dog other people will see this and take it as justification for letting their dogs run free.
