They still hold the crown, and I don't see anybody on the horizon that's capable of taking it. Unlike rock-n-roll, the majority of country music acts seems to be individuals with great backing bands. Alabama is basically the Beatles of country. Their songs are, pound for pound, better than other country groups, they kept coming out with great hits year after year, and their music will stand the test of time. They're just simply the greatest band in country music history.
Simply the Best they don't make country music like this no more I hope I get to see them before they retire for good . Love You ALABAMA GOD BLESS YOU .
I've grew up with this group as a fan. They are nothing but the very best all the time. Nothing can EVER come close to them. Alabama, you are the greatest of all time, forever and always. Thank you for "Real Country."
You know what the way they're putting some country artists into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Alabama deserves to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as well what do you all think
Alabama is the best country band in the world...they're pure legends!! I was raised listening to them. Went to a few of their concerts. I love them so much!!!
Alabama played a show at my high school in the gymnasium before they hit it really big and the thing I remember most is the strong harmonies that they put out. I remember thinking how can 3 guys make it sound so strong? They were great! The show was in Lawrenceburg, TN.
I am a die hard "Rock" lover. I keep 3 CD's in my Truck of Rock's Greatest hit's. I have two CD's of "ALABAMAs" greatest hits in my CD player. These 5 CD's never leave my CD player. I still today love listening to Alabama as much as I like about 10 Rock Gods all time best CDs! Somedays it's a challenge as to what CD I am going to play. I have take several 20 hour road trips with ALABAMA blairing the entire time! Sometimes it's the ROCK CDs that are playing. It's just the mood I am in for the day. I have listened to all these songs since the early 80s and have NO intentions of stopping now. For ALABAMA to be singled out with no other country CDs is past amazing! I can think of about 10 Rock Bands I love. What's amazing is this one Country Band from Alabama stands alone in my World. We love you Randy, Teddy, and Jeff (RIP). Don't stop now as I am headed to the Tennessee River as we speak!
This is what I call Great country music. They might not have used the flashy lights, etc. that many do today, but their music is so powerful, it makes you go back to your younger days.
Loved them ( SAW THEM AND BOUGHT A ALABAMA JACKET WHEN THEY VISITED PHOENIX) THEN AND LV THEM TODAY AND IM 75 NOW - THK U RANDY AND ALABAMA - GOD BLESS U ALL
I walked two miles in the louisianna heat in 1983 to pick up front row seats to thier sold out concert. What a performance they gave, they spent 4 hrs signing autographs and taking pictures with thier fans. I treasure mine! Randy Owen will never be to old to be good!
This message is for Alabama band , it brought some tears to my eyes the night this was given to you , your the ones who did things right and earned this award the right way
Brought a tear to my eye. God I've missed ALABAMA!! .......Welcome back boyz!!!! You're exactly what country music needs today... PEOPLE WHO CAN PLAY & SING!!!
They are playing to a track. 4:21 we hear a cymbal crash. The drummer doesn't hit a cymbal. All the acts on big awards shows like this are playing to a track. The only 'live' part are the vocals. Sometimes not even that. Thank goodness Alabama is still good enough to play live and sound great!
@@GoogleAccount-tl7jl I can't hear the cymbal crash but the guitar movements were way off from the actual tune but like you said, these big award shows and superbowl half time shows are all pre recorded tracts and they sing live to them, well most of the time.
Saw them in the summer of '85 in Milwaukee,Wi. They had already gotten entertainer of the year 5 times in a row back then. What a concert!! Have been a fan both before and after that concert!
Saw Alabama years ago. They were hot then and they still are. Their music is timeless now! And, my cousin Kimo is playing with them in the back! Yay! Love it!
Well my husband and I raised our 3 children and nieces and nephews on country and grandchildren and their friends now I got a great grandson is growing up on country the all now love you and all the other country singers keep up the good songs always
harmonics are off the chart's, they still sing the same pitch perfect, and the whole dam place gave them they respect they deserve with the standing ovation during the whole dam show.
Business is Business and sometimes its ugly. I followed these guys since 1980 and they haven't missed a beat. Say what you want but with out these guys country music would not be what it is today. Thanks for the chance to see y'all one more time guys, its been a hell of a ride.
Yeah, but don't forget about George Strait and Kenny Rogers have kept the standard high and longevity lengthy for just great country music. These 3 should stand the test of time even when you and I are long gone. Pure country!!
Seen them live 3 times and its always a great show. Country music these days could learn alot from these guys. The greatest there is was and ever will be.
Alabama was so big in the early 80’s! They were continually on top of the charts from 1980 all the way to 1989!!! Great songs everyone knows by heart even if you don’t like country music! Great band!!!
awesome... nuff said.. Cant top that... From their first record.. "ALABAMA" is my #1 Country band of all time.. Gentlemen/Artists/Family men. Southern Gentlemen/Southern pride..
@@adriantomlin2902 can’t trust anything you see on the internet. I’ve seen Alabama live 3 times, the last being in October of 2021. They talked about Jeff, who was absent, and even sang a really touching tribute song they wrote for him. It’s called “Jeff’s song”, you can look it up here on RU-vid.
I'm not really into country music that much, but this is a group of incredible musicians who know how to sing to the soul. Got to see them live last year and still have great harmonies. Amazing.
Alabama you're the greatest I'm from Montgomery grew up there and now live in Georgia but I'm still a true Alabama fan Roll Tide and also God bless you with good health love you guys

My brother had Alabama and Elvis vinyl records in 1980 with a huge RCA turntable cabinet that had stereo speakers built in it. I used turn those round dials up and literally got lost in the music when I visited him. I jammed Alabama music loud and proud when I went to our high school prom in Palm Springs. My girlfriend LOVED it ; )
I think the music from all tribes and different races, but especially see a man like randy owen be humble and give a smile along with a song, makes you feel happy inside your soul.I love Alabama.
I'm so glad to also be from the Great State Of Alabama... Southern Born... Alabama Proud... Heart Of Dixie Heritage... Mobile Alabama Pride!!!!! Roll Tide Roll
I grew up listening to Alabama on cassette along with my mom, dad and my sister I could never get enough of it. Most memorable was the 2 weeks we stayed in our grandparents 5th wheel up in the mountains on an old landing while our daddy was logging and it was one of the best times in my life, it brings a smile to my face when I hear their music and it takes me back to my childhood. ALABAMA is the greatest country music band of all time.
