looking back now this alabama Defense was so stacked holy shit! Eddie Jackson, Ronnie Harrison, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Marlon Humphrey, Da'ron Payne, Jonathon Allen, Ruebun Foster
If Eddie Jackson not suffered that season ending injury against Texas AM in 2016 Alabama may have very well have sealed the deal against Clemson in the national championship game.
literally everything had to go perfect for clemson leading up to win that game.....kiffin had to quit on the team, jalen and sark had to not be on the same page....the defense had to be on the field for 99 plays and still we were 1 second away.
Andrew Cain what I hope is Alabama goes to nashional championship and he will get to play in that because that's in like February and it takes about 2 months to heal. And aleast who ever takes his spot will be able to practice because we will need who ever takes his spot next year
He such a great leader on the field. Assisting his team mate to get them where they need to score that TD. I hope he gets that opportunity to play on Sunday b/c he will be a great player!
What an, 'awesome', young man. What an, 'excellent', player. We will certainly miss seeing him doing his, great running on the football field. Prayers coming your way for a speedy recovery.
The awareness of the Alabama defense is amazing. They just completely turn on their heels when one of them picks / scoops the ball and create a barrier of blocking for the one running the football like it's a cakewalk.
I find it funny when someone scores a TD they all run and chase each other then pile on top of one another. I know they are excited and everything. I love the non offensive TD though. I'm so sad for Eddie. He is one of my favorite since he started playing at Bama.
More than any other team, I will never understand how we let the natty get away this season.....may be the best collection of talent ever assembled or at least up there with the 2020 team.
@@bamafan73191Well my comment still applies just slip in Eddie for Metchie. As someone stated in another comment everything had to go absolutely right for Clemson to win that night. Not sure I quite agree with. Those two title games with Clemson if they played them ten times I think would split. Difference being in first one Bama was definitely the better special teams unit. With the onside kick and then Kenyan Drake kickoff return. Flip it Clemson had Hunter Renfroe, Jackson, and good running backs. Imo those were the best 2 national title games in recent memory. And I love the comeback Bama had against Georgia. But the 2 against Clemson were back and forth all game long
The injury really soured a really great season, but because of that injury he dropped in the draft. hate to see this kid go so low, but he was drafted by the beloved Bears, training camp here I come.
I've gone back and looked at the scoring summary provided by espn and confirmed there were only two non-offensive touchdowns against Arkansas, both of which are included in the video. Tim Williams returned a fumble 23 yards for a TD & Minkah Fitzpatrick returned an interception over 100 yards for a touchdown.
Can someone explain what he was taking in at 11:00 and why? I assume its just oxygen to help him recharge/catch his breathe before the defense needs to hop on the field again?
Whats the deal with players headed to the end zone for a TD, it's like they can't hold on to the ball when they score. They drop the football a half step inside the end zone. Is it the happening thing to do or they just ignorant to the fact they need to have possession of the ball before the can score, or at least run a few steps so they leave no doubt they didn't drop the ball before they score. Example: Marlon Humphrey
The 2016 implies the 2016 season, not the 2016 calendar year which would include the Championship game in January, 2016 against Clemson. At least that is what I think you're referring to.
The following are knowledgeable people who are not drinking the UAT and Little Nicky Satan Koolaid:1) Colin Cowherd2) Skip Bayless3) Jim Harbaugh4) The USC Moose
UAT lost to UTAH in the Sugar Bowl. Do you remember that one? UAT lost to UL-Monroe - do you remember that one? UAT lost to La. Tech and Northern Illinois - do you remember those as well? UAT is a PRETENDER . Fight on USC and thank GOD FOR CALIFORNIA BABY
I'd be salty too if I was a USC fan. Haven't won any big games since Pete Carrol dumped your asses. People remember Alabama losing because it's rare. Nobody remembers USC losses because it happens so often. Have fun at the tortilla chip clown bowl. We'll be adding to the dynasty.
I have the film on this game with close up side view. You are a blind hater. Your mommy says your sandwich is ready. Russell says forget it, he ain't gay.
4:03 This is why I do not like Daniel at all he said a CHEAP SACK? Really? How is that cheap? can anyone tell me how is that cheap? You are doing a play! You are going for the QB & strip the ball if possible that's what he did! Daniel is nothing but BIAS against Alabama it's bs!
Alabama fan all of my 61 years--can we coach these boys to stop the celebrating, and to "Act like you've been there (endzone) before."? Srsly. Hello, the '16 defense might have won the natty vs. Clemson if they hadn't wasted so much precious energy acting like 4-year olds.
