Sang this under William Dawson's direction in 1975 in a select all-city High School chorus with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Also did several more of his spirituals. Amazing experience. IIRC he set this poem to music to commemorate his wife who had passed.

Grass was extremely to wide. It should have been pronounced as Gr-ah-ss. And when the reprise comes back in it sounds like some people don't know their parts. Good job on the accomplishment
