For the price of a small bit of wear on one of their artifacts, they get massive publicity. Hell, I'd like to go to the Garden Museum and see more of this sort of thing.

Shows how much more intelligent Davies is in some ways than most of the panellists. They sit there discussing pointlessly and he goes ahead and actually does something to get to the answer. That's the difference between booksmart and practically smart.

I've been ill all day, and I just watched an entire box set of Jonathan Creek, and to watch Alan play a highly intelligent, fairly serious (albeit witty) guy for about 12 hours, then watch this where he's acting like a 6 year old makes it all that more funnier XD

Just saw him live at Humorfestivalen in Lund Sweden, what amazing show. He just got up the stage and spoke of whatever came to his mind. Heard about how he helped hid grandpa to pee, about the clothes store Shat In's were he got his school clothing and so forth.

Pretty sure it is for putting over growing cucumbers or something like that, so you get straight cucumbers instead of curved ones.
