Cheap £90 Polytunnel build done RIGHT!, Single handed, Part 2 Finishing off.
Today, I decided to erect another cheap polytunnel, PART 2 FINISHING OFF Step by step guide
Make sure if you do this, you select a GAVENISED Frame. Ideally 25mm framing but this one is only 18mm. The polytunnel will be a no dig, citrus tree and fruit tree affair, as they are suffering in the pots and difficult to maintain.
This is a step by step guide how to erect a cheap polytunnel which means lots of preparation, but the end result will be worth it, so if you have had no luck with cheap polytunnels in the past? then this video is for you

Thanks very much for your very positive encouragement Gordon and your kind words I hope people will find it useful if planning on getting a cheap tunnel how to at least give it some chance of survival they get bad press but to be fair if they are put up right and anchorage is good they usually do last a while mate.stay safe Alan

Glad I found your channel Alan, I am about to build more or less the exact same polly tunnel. Watching your video has really helped me. I have decided to angle grind the 8 bottom leg ends off and sit the lot on the base rail as I don’t have the same patience as you do x Thanks Alan ⛺️

@@alansallotment I’m in Buxton, Derbyshire Alan, also a very windy place but with the help of your educational videos I’m certain it won’t blow away 🌬️. my last polytunnel was ruined so i bought a new one. under normal circumstances, like yourself, i would have tried to do it single handed. i now have a problem. i lost a leg 4 years ago. i never thought it could be so difficult to find anyone capable to errect a simple polytunnel. i think you did a sterling job showing how easy it is to construct one.......................brian

Brilliant idea on the flags as i have had major problems with birds with my polytunnel, i have holes were they have landed, gutted, but, have used the tape to patch it up for now. Hi Alan, what a brilliant job you have done with the polytunnel. All that rain. That will do all the plants good. We have had hardly anything I’m watering everyday sometime twice. Great video as always thank you for sharing

I got this plastic sheeting it says it lets 70 percent sunlight in, i have been wondering if thats enough, its very strong looking and feels it

Jeezo mate you say that the polytunnel cost £90 but how much have you spent on the additional materials ? My polytunnel cost £180 6m x 3m. I purchased 10 5ft wood posts and with the aid of a sledgehammer I sunk them 3 ft into the ground. I then drilled holes in them and cable tied them to the frame and buried the skirting. Only cost me £65 extra and was completed in a day It’s been up for a year now and survived all the strong winds But the material of the tunnel is garbage.
