Very nice! Proving once again that Content camera work and editing can result in a scoring video without having to restate the obvious with narration. Nice touch.
I am continually surprised that you had worked in an office all those years & say you had no Construction experience. You do an excellent job on all your projects! Look how young Penelope is in the video. :0
2022 Sept - plans are only $4.99 on sale, reg $9.99 is still a value (steal) compared to watching tons of videos trying to understand what everyone is doing. Plans save you TIME and MONEY - thank you Jason for sharing your gift of building and plans to help others with our little homesteading dreams! I'm trying to build a quail hutch with egg roller and have to go between 3 videos of another person, even with a cut list, no-instructions, it's taking me wayyyyy longer than I hoped for. Back to the greenhouse, I have bones and need to reinforce it before the first snow, thank you again!
Cool vid bro! We've built several such similar tunnels- highly recommend! Especially if larger hoop houses & high tunnels are out of budget- you can grow a ton of food for your family in these!! 🤙 -Josh
Jason, enjoyed your video very much. I just purchased 5 acres of land this summer and so looking forward to beginning my own homesteading journey. I wanted to say thank you for being true towards your own family and journeys. You are an inspiration to so many of us left behind in the Big Cities. Smiles.. God Bless, Rob Schroeder (Rockford MI)
Wow, how time has gone by; your family has accomplished much over the past four years. For those new to this channel you really need to stay awhile and go check out all that this family has accomplished. Very blessed, thank you for all of your families efforts efforts in sharing as you learn. God Bless!
This is wonderful! Thank you so much for posting this! Very clear and straight forward. Please keep posting these type of diy videos where we all can learn without being left with confusion. Great, great video Jason!👍👍👍👍👍👍
Looks good....have a hoophouse and a greenhouse too...both of my own creation...and I love it.....6mil contractors plastic on it now for last 3 years..and it's shot. Going to get some actual greenhouse plastic this time. Keep on growing 👍😊
We are going to do this in the spring. I have been trying to figure out exactly what would be the best exact way to do it. Now I know. Thanks so much for posting this. You have helped so many of us to be able to do this now and a way that we can afford it. Love your channel . Watch all the time just not a big commenter. 😊. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Jason, Great job! Tickled me to see you put the bracing up in the middle. One snow or ice storm could destroy it otherwise because of where we all live. Also, is it an ongoing chore of duty to remember to keep the doors shut so the free range hens won't devastate you in a matter of minutes? Had it happen once.... So now I have a roll up plastic flap on the doors for ventilation.
Love this video . We are in SC near the NC line and loved this video we did these hoops over our raised beds but will be moving to southern Finland this coming spring so hope to build one of these when over there .
JASON, IF YOU WERE TO BUILD THIS AGAIN WOULD YOU STILL USE PVC OR WOULD YOU USE THE GALVENIZED PIPES? I NOTICED THAT YOU SCREWED THROUGH SOME OF THEM, HOW ARE THEY HOLDING UP IN THOSE AREAS..... YOU MAKE EVERYTHING LOOK SO EASY....I WANT TO MAKE SOME NOW!! MERRY CHRISTMAS AND MANY BLESSINGS TO YOU ALL FOR THE NEW YEAR!
Loved this build so Much that we fashioned our greenhouse after it with some modifications. Always inspiring! How did you add the gutter system for rainwater catchment? Can you show that? Thanks
Woohie, Jason you r the man and being a lo focal thinker and carpenter helps. I had to listen mute so I will be surprised later on what is going on there. Typical growing crops? Chickens like at the Rhodes ( who shoves the chicken sh-? at their place out of that beautiful building you helped mark for them?? Ha.
Where I'm at the price of wood and steel is almost the same. And I'm a metal worker..... So I'll use steel but the design and steps of building is almost perfect.... I can't give a 100% as nothing is ever perfect, lol
I have a few questions about this... do you start seeds out here in the winter? And do you have other heat sources if so? Do you use it during winter? I have an old dog kennel that I was going to wrap in plastic...basically your same idea but the frame is already made. But I don't know if I'll need to heat it to grow frost tender seedlings in this winter/spring. I'm in upstate sc.
