I'm currently reading Mark Lanagan's 'Sing Backwards and Weep'. It is an incredible contrast of what Sub Pop once was and where it has found itself today, pandering to trendy 1 minute long songs and actually putting money and staff behind it. They aren't alone, the music of today has really lost its soul...or maybe its me.
