In British slang, a "tit" does refer to the body part, but more specifically to describe someone stupid, oafish, obnoxious, pretentious etc. Piers Morgan is someone who certainly fills all of those requirements. He's an English commentator(?) who holds, I believe, quite contrarian views about almost everything in a protracted publicity bid. He's generally held in pretty low regard by the British public--hence "tit".
A tit is also a type of bird, which leads the viewer to believe that Alan's buzzer will be a bird call to go with the animal theme that they set up for everyone else.

Well personally I can't understand why anyone would like him. He's an absolutely awful human being. But at least you've got a sense of humour & can. Take a joke so I do commend you for that. I'd be absolutely amazed if a healthy person could knit even a few of those in a week let alone somebody who barely remembers their own name and suffers from a crippling hunchback being able to knit fourteen. You're right, that's real talent and the people who watch this are pretty damn nifty.
