I think the screams she delivers at the end are the most sincere I've heard in my life, its pure emotion, it comes from the soul, it pierces through those who have a sensitive heart, its magic in the shape of beautiful screams, a beautiful melody.
Nowadays we talk a lot about affirmations, this songs is one of the most beautiful, hopeful, true affirmations, everything will be ok, we will be ok and valid even if we crumble or not meet expectations. Alanis always wrote things that as i learned english (i listened since 7 but im a spanish speaking girly) i started to understand slowly and they all made me cry and feel with her, such a magical woman.
I have no words, I love her in every single ways . her music makes me feel alive. I am fro Mozambique, Africa. I am a teacher and I hope that one day we will sing that song together and the world will be as one.
And the craziest thing is that she never did many takes for recording in studio. It was usually just a one and done because she wanted it to just be so raw

Alanis Morissette was one of the most prolific live artist of her time. Her live versions always sounded better than the studio version which I always found amazing about her. This and Unplugged are absolutely gems and need to be preserved at all cost.

A personagem apaixonava-se pelo motorista e desde então sua prepotência e orgulho caíram por terra. Essa música foi perfeita na escolha da personagem. Love this song, have loved it since 1998 when I was 23 and pregnant with my now 22 yr old middle daughter. My oldest paid for us to see Alanis and Garbage last year for either mother's day or my birthday. It was canceled because of covid. Well it's rescheduled to August 17 2021. I can't wait!!! I live in Florida, but it's a 4 hr drove. Lol

Something made me recall this tune after 20 years. It was a quiet hum in my mind and I couldn't recall the name of this track but just the vibe. Started going through her old videos only to realise just how many of her songs has such an impact on my younger self, as a teen, as a young man boy in my early 20s. At 46 this song still touched a raw place. Thank you for the music. I wonder where she is nowadays.

Yep! This is by far my favorite Alanis performance, EVER. Watched this twice for nostalgia sake. One of the few artists who undeniably comes to life on stage.
