Hey Friends!! Ever wonder the cost of shopping in Alaska? Come shop with me for a big grocery haul! Plus im sharing my favorite, delicious stuffed cabbage roll recipe with you. Thanks for joining me for another video! Byeeeee!!
Stuffed Cabbage Recipe:
1 cabbage head
1lb ground turkey or ground beef (I prefer turkey meat)
Cooked rice, 1 cup.
1-2 cans diced tomatoes
1-2 cans tomato sauce
Salt/pepper
Italian seasoning
Boil cabbage for 5-10 min, peel as many cabbage leaves off as you can (don't over boil or they'll be too mushy) Try not to tear them!
Cook your rice according to package directions.
In a bowl, mix together your turkey meat & about 1 cup of cooked rice. Season to taste with salt & pepper.
Fill your cabbage leaves with meat mixture. Eyeball this. I usually do about 2 big spoon full in each leaf. Roll the leaves like burritos & stick toothpick in to hold them shut while they cook.
Line your rolls up in a baking dish, cover with your diced tomatoes & tomato sauce (don’t forget to save some sauce for later, I like to add more on my rolls when I eat them). Sprinkle some Italian seasoning on top (not too much). Also if you don’t have Italian seasoning you can use a little thyme & rosemary.
Bake covered at 350 for 1 hour.
