We have Safeway here where I live and I agree with you about Safeway. I only shop there for the sales. The prices seem similar. Beautiful waterfalls!

Safeway was sold of toMorrisons in the UK, and in Northern Ireland where I am it was bought by ASDA, which is quite reasonable

Hey Jackie! I agree, still high because it's Alaska but not as high as some of the other shops I've stopped at. There is a heart by your name Jackie and when I scrolled over it it said "Top commenter: Received one of the highest number of hearts from you" I have never seen that before. Hey Lauren, the waterfalls were beautiful the grocery store prices are comparable to ours stores. The shampoo & conditioner was expensive $10.99 I didn’t see the oz’s but it looked small. The boys are doing great at the skate park I can’t wait to see your next video, have a wonderful day

The prices weren’t as bad as I thought they would be for a small shop!! Also surprised it’s affiliated with Safeway!! Here in northern New Jersey we don’t have Safeway or cars! We have Acme which is an affiliate!! Thanks for sharing again!! Love when you do!!

Hey Kim! Acme, that's one I have never heard of for Safeway. I was really surprised when I walked in, if it had been an independent store I am sure the prices would have been much higher. I also wonder if the prices go up in the winter when it is ski season. Anyways... thanks for watching I'm always happy to see your comments!

The waterfalls were absolutely beautiful and and the scenery was spectacular. The shop definitely had a big selection of item's, as for the prices they seemed pretty much what you pay at Costco. Sending love 💞

We used to have Safeway’s but I never shopped there. At the time I still had a military ID so I shopped at the commissary. But your prices are definitely higher than ours. I loved the waterfalls and can see why you guys go there. Alaska is very beautiful!

here’s a fun one…when i was a child in Pampa, Texas we had a blizzard the winter of 1986…i was in 2nd grade. there was so much snow that the roof of the local Safeway partially collapsed

Beautiful falls, nice day with your boys, only some prices were high, I thought, here in PA the prices are similar except for milk and the “fancy “ bread those numbers were steep.

Hello Kay! There seem to be a few places, PA , Hawaii, and New Jersey, that have similar prices. Milk does tend to be a bit higher when you get away from the big cities here in Alaska, I think because they are so big and bulky to ship. Hope you have a wonderful weekend Kay!

I live in Washington state and we do have Safeway . One of the most expensive around me. The prices at this store are higher than mine for the most part. But, it’s nice that there are small stores so you don’t have to travel for a few things. Having s’mores from there would be very expensive! It’s like our convince stores.

I agree, it is nice that the store is there, even if the prices are a bit spendy. You have to plan accordingly when living in Alaska and use these rural shops to supplement your food or it can be really overwhelming. Thanks for watching and commenting, have a great week!

Hi Friends👋The boys did so great at the Skate Park!! We have Safeway in Australia (rebranded to Woolworths) along with Aldi, Coles and IGA as our grocery chains. Notice the products for sale are always large/bulk quantities this is something not very common in Australia, l guess the US slogan "more is more" applies we buy laundry detergents in 1kg packages or 1 litre for liquid as an example. The waterfall was magical and so close to town, so many beautiful scenes in Alaska. Thankyou for sharing 👍

Hello!! I will pass on the kind words to the boys about their scootering, they sure love it! That is so interesting about product size. I would have a hard time buying small quantities. Guess I am just so used to the bigger is better?? And yes, when we first went to the waterfall I was so shocked because of how easy it was to access. Have a wonderful weekend!

We don't have a Safeway but we have a store called Hitchcocks that's comparable. Their prices are definitely higher than where I normally shop. The prices you showed weren't as bad as some of the other stores you've shown in past videos. That waterfall is beautiful!

Beautiful waterfalls not really shocked at the prices in 1985 I visited Anchorage Alaska and that’s what a shock to me because coming from the lower 48 Payne dirt cheap for my Doritos and seeing what the price was then and I think then they were like four dollars a bag and I was like $1.50 a bag

Even though the signiture select brand is the nationwide store brand but here in new england we call it the shaws brand since its the reginal grocery store chain that 's nowhere else in the country except for here in new england

WA State here, we have Safeway too, but I don’t generally shop there for the same reason. They are generally priced higher than our Fred Meyer (Kroger) and WalMart.

Hi Im from the UK and I have to say the prices in Anchorage are very high I have to Admit where you live its lovely thank you for giving us a insight into your life and how your family is really tight nit I also have to be careful with my finances because In the UK the prices are going up and because im disabled im restricted to what I can purchase I also like your Costco hauls its very interesting to see what its like in there And Emirate is very clever for his age

New subscriber here and I’m pretty shocked at the prices they are so high compared to Missouri prices. However, I’m sure the wages in Alaska are much higher which would make up for the prices.

Hello Amy, you are right. Wages tend to be higher in Alaska but that is not the case for everyone and cost of living is very high here for food, fuel, and housing. We love living here and budget accordingly. Thank you so much for watching, we are grateful you are here.
