Gigantic fjords and over 5,000 small islands: In Alaska's south there's a lot of wilderness and little civilization. The region between the capital Juneau and the Canadian border is also known by locals as the "Last Frontier", the last outpost. @@sean2015 ,And your point is? It has it’s challenges, yet I will take it over traffic, crime, big city attitudes any day. Can’t beat our lifestyle, clean air, little crime, no traffic, best fishing, wilderness, wildlife, scenery on earth. No place even compares!
@@troyottosen8722 my point is that it’s not for everyone and I wouldn’t encourage everybody to just pack their bags and move up there expecting it to be Shanghai-La. it’s like these Californians moving to places like Colorado and Idaho and bringing all their “California values” right along with them. You Alaskans (I assume you’re from there) have adjusted to the challenges of living there through years of patience and hard work.
@@sean2015 I realize it’s not for everyone, thats why we only have approx 770 thousand residents, yet us longtime Alaskan’s realize no place compares. Take a poll of residents, ask where they were born, almost all living here in Alaska were not born here, only ones who hate it are big citytard transplants who expect it to be like where they came from! Those of us who love it have taken to it because it is unlike any place on earth. Simple!
@@troyottosen8722 oh I’m not saying any of what you wrote is untrue. But like you said, only 700K people live up there and I’m sure you prefer it that way. Keeps the riff raff out as we used to say in North Dakota.
Good heavens!!! What great viewing this proved to be. All of the characters, like the native Price keeping his language alive, the sea cucumber harvesters, the female seaplane pilot, and the nature and above all made for an outstanding viewing pleasure. Excellent.
I have been lucky enough to live and see much of authentic past forty years and lucky enough to fly with Michelle throughout much of southeast in her awesome plane. Nothing compares to Alaska by floatplane. Simple!
@@troyottosen8722 I have always referred to Alaska as Her like the "Sleeping Lady" all laid out waiting for exploring!! The Last Great Frontier, Yes SHE IS MAJESTIC TROY!!!!😘
@@amybahner4534 , I have got to see Alaska the past forty years, only ones who don’t like it are big lower 48 citytards, who haven’t got out of Los Anchorage or Squarebanks or Juneau with all it’s Seattle transplants living there! Real Alaska is off the few main roads, Sitka, Kodiak, Petersburg, Wrangell, Haines, Prince of Wales island, Seward, etc...
@@troyottosen8722 so many places!! Kenai, is amazing for killin fish ha! By the way, I too have been blessed to see those places and have My feet to have walked there!! Love smoked salmon and moose jerky!! WhooooHoooooo!!!!!
greeks were killed by turks , hundreds of years ago , ( when turks occupied greece) , if they spoke their language.. from what i understand, greek language was preserved only because priests taught it secretly , to keep it going ..
Lucky to have flown with Michelle many times with her awesome plane! Flown with many great bush pilots here in Alaska, Michelle is such a great pilot! Simple!👍
Keep up the good work Chris and Claire love what you guys are doing. It's lovely to see your community coming together and supporting you guys are your native brown bear. Good luck on your journey hopefully we see orphaned bears going into their natural habitat and bear numbers increasing. Such a beautiful creature and the face of Alaska.
From as harsh and cold it can get to a quick spring summer and fall seasons in Alaska. It to me has a true sense of peace and tranquility living with nature to a certain degree.. like having the best of both worlds .. modern innovations ... And a want to live with the earth ,not just on it .... Great post.... Awesome landscape.... 👍👍👌🤠😃
A huge fan of JACK LONDON, Alaska is my top place to visit, i dont know why i long to be there siberia and alsaka,i have watched almost all documentary available on YT,wish i were born there,so i could go hunting, fishing, serching for gold hiking, watching birds and what not.. Hoping to visit alaska one day, from a small himalyan town in india💕💕💕💕
As some who lived in Alaska during he childhood but moved, I sure do miss it A TON. We always visit again every summer since we own a cabin but I almost feel “home sick” because I miss it so dearly. All my childhood memories are from Alaska and my family misses it too!
It is so nice to hear that you guys are still respecting the bear even though their baby cuz it's nice that you have your own reprieve for them and I hope nobody gets scared of them you do what you do because you have experience and I think it's very beautiful thank you so much for the videos
This is how Americans live. If they find something that can make them rich somewhere, the living order of the place they go does not matter.for them. They go and get it, and they proudly tell it as they do it.
The last time I did my research about Alaska, it's known for its culture moose and Native heritage. Friendly people and the food they eat there. Even though I never visited Alaska before, but I'm sure they got good foods there. Alaska have beautiful nature home to lots of volcanoes and earthquakes. It is a state of the USA. But Alaska wins grand prize for being home to many earthquakes. Because it is part of the West coast. So if I want to learn about earthquakes instead of California in my mind, I should go to Alaska.!!! Gotta love Alaska!!!!
I want to appreciate the quality of the backdrop. You have added a few nice details, the surrounding space is also quite good. Your attention to detail adds a lot to your creative experience. Thank you very much.😍
Thank you for this very interresting documentary about Alaska. Best wishes from France. I am french, it IS very interresting and enriching to watch this documentary by youtube. Best wishes to Alaska, american people, Nadia
I am almost 69 years old but if I were forty years younger my dream would be to lose myself in this wilderness for the rest of my life. What an amazing part of the world. An area untouched by humans, pristine in it's beauty. Just saying.
I am 68 and came up here 42 years ago. My son and I did year backcountry canoe trips for years where we wouldn’t see anyone for a week. Where we hunted we never saw anyone. Snowmachines, ATVs, River rafting, I even had an airplane I learned to fly, there is always something to do.
