This video documents the continuation of our trip from New York into Lake Ontario and down the St Lawrence Seaway to Prince Edward Island and on to Nova Scotia. This is known as the Downeast Circle.
This morning I dedicated 49:03 minutes to Alaska to Nova Scotia Pt. 2 aboard Venture and felt compelled to write and to let you know how wonderful these videos are. Your videography and narration are remarkable, a true testament to your travels and I would just like to thank you for sharing your travels with us. I thoroughly enjoyed each second and can't wait for your next "Venture"!
Absolutely fantastic video of a wonderful travel, superb narration. Your command of the french language in naming the cities of Quebec locations was very touching. Thank you. Fern Berard
What about the 20-minute mark when the venture pulled up into Marina for Quebec's 400 celebration was that the blue nose it looks like blue nose just a double Mass
Many thanks for documenting such an amazing trans-American voyage from nearly the North Pole (Alaska) past Pacific Canada to the West Coast of the U.S.A. ...all the way towards South America....the unique Galapogos Islands....and then the inland waterways of the East Coast of the U.S.A. and on to the eastern provinces of Canada. Most people are so accustomed to the safety and comfort of land-travel on modern highways and the convenience and ultra-speed of air-travel nowadays that your perspectives from sea and river are fascinating.
Another adventure vicariously enjoyed through your stunning visuals, eloquent story-telling, and mood-matching music... These really should be on the National Geographic Channel...
Im 71 years old and have only ever travelled on Ferries. Needless to say I now want to get a Fleming and travel on some of your wonderful journeys. How completely compelling, both the journey and the filming / narration. I have spent quite a few hours watching these videos now and thoroughly enjoyed every minute, thank you.
just found and watched both Videos. I congratulate you on the Eloquence of your narration, I was going to describe it as poetical but it went beyond simply that. Having watched you craft in both calm and not so calm conditions I congratulate you on your Choice. Continue to enjoy her and have many more interesting excursions. Well worth the watching.
THIS IS THE MOST WONDERFUL AND AMAZING TRAVEL DOCUMENTARY I HAVE EVER SEEN!. THANK YOU. - I watch all your Venture Boats trips (Aleutians, Alaska, British Columbia, Europe, Ireland, England, California, Idaho, New York). All videos are properly edited and perfectly presented. All landscapes, scenes, nature, blue sky, grey sky, deep blue sea make me feel so good. I enjoy watching all your videos (on my 72" flat screen TV - SONY) all time, every weekend from my home in Los Angeles. Even though I am not fortunate like you to circumnavigate the globe and travel on own boat, your sea journey and wonderful voyage videos have brought many delights and good feeling to me. We all ordinary people are grateful to you (Gratitude) for your generous and wonderful presentations. Thank you.
What an amazing adventure. How I would love to do that. Your eye for videography, composition, color and light was professional level. And who writes your script?? Your use of the language is sheer poetry and you speak it so melodiously, which made the visuals even that much more entrancing. I was spellbound the whole way as if I had been there with you. Please create more of these so I can vicariously live it with you!
These videos are all a one person affair from acquisition to exhibition. You can find out more by going to "how i make my videos" on the Fleming Yachts website. Just scroll down until you find the You Tube link
Sir, you are an cinematographer, producer, narrator, and docent, navigator as well tour guide. Well done, beyond armature, top notch level documentary good sir. Thank you for your productions.
[2] I lived several years in Canada, for example, and had no recollection of there being locks in the St. Lawrence River! This is the U.S.A.'s/Canada's equivalent of the world-famous Panama Canal! Very educational tour, thanks to you! Perhaps nobody that I know/knew ever travelled on the river and did not know about these features along its astonishing length. Most of us from Canada have only flown over it or driven beside it. As my grandparents lived many years in Lasalle, whenever we visited, my grandfather and I used to enjoy walking to the nearest part of the great river, where passersby fed the gulls and other birds and got a sense of nature amidst suburban development.
Today is Nov. 5,2020. I just watched Parts 1 and 2 of Ventures journey. I am hard pressed to find words adequate enough to tell you how wonderful this was. The Venture felt like a friend after the video, like I wanted to hug her. I know that sounds crazy, but she brought you safely through your trip.Of course, your crew deserves massive praise. I don't do water very well, so I held my breath now and then. You are all very brave. The videography was brilliant and the narration was perfection. I loved every minute of the two videos. Thank you so very much for the journey.
Very nice. This is the second time I’ve watched this trip. I’m glad people have the time and means do these kinds of things because it shows what’s possible.
These two videos are very well worth watching, the videography and narration are sublime, I reckon you are a professional TV person, if not you ought to be. Thank you for two very well documented videos. I hope to see more.
Absolutely stunning and beautiful cinematography. These video's are priceless and brilliantly well done. Thanks for sharing this magnificent adventure on the "Venture"! Hugz, Tree
a unique point of view, I am glad to witness it. I worked with airplanes, looked down. A life of trucking..a short stint with a lobster boat. Southwest harbor images are casual. I am never far from the sea. Your boat ride reveals it. From Florida, to container ports, verrazano.. amazing point of view for me. We can all learn from someone elses ride.
Great Video!...a very enjoyable documentary/movie. Great Images! Tasteful music! Informative and entertaining dialog! I will recommend the two parts to many friends and family.
Tony, your films are so inspiring, I have truly enjoyed watching. Turns out we have a mutual friend, former owner of "Griffin" . I recommended your videos to him and he mentioned that he and his wife had dined with you on occasion. Anyway, thank you so much for your wonderful and inspiring films. I truly enjoy each one of them. Best wishes to you and yours, Happy New Year!
Thank you for the video! I love to watch them and hope to see more of them. This is what I want to do, when I am done with my working days. I been saving money to buy me boat size like yours.
I just watched your trip through Africa and then Part 1 and Part 2 of this trip back to back. These are all award winning documentaries. I wish a little more detail was discussed such as how long the total trip took, the cost of the trip including canal fees and fuel supplies, etc. I just saw a Fleming 65 2015 model used for sale for "only" $3.5 million, so I guess the fuel costs are just details if you can afford the boat. This was my Friday night; I am exhausted from all this travel.
I really appreciate these videos. Aspire to an explorer yacht one day - lotto allowing LOL - in the meantime, the Fleming Yachts cache of videos will more than suffice. I particularly appreciate the economy of Tony's narration. He knows when to keep quiet and allow the images to speak for themselves. The hallmark of the craft, but sadly much unappreciated in this age of gum flapping talking heads. Keep up the good work sir....
Thank you Sir for sharing your adventure on Venture. Wonderful production and your calm resonant narration have made this a very soothing 2 part video. Thank you!
I truly enjoyed watching this incredible adventure of yours at sea, and how I wish I was coming along with you aboard your magnificent and powerful boat, Venture! I’m looking forward to watching all your videos, always stay safe out there, and thank you for sharing your wonderful experiences out in the waters of our beautiful earth!
Thank you for taking me along on your voyage, that truly is how I feel after watching this amazing video. Your voice and explanation of everything is so captivating!! I enjoyed every second of this wonderful trip.
Watched part 1 as well. Feels like we were on this adventure with you. Really enjoyed. Looking forward to more. Professionally filmed and a well scripted and beautifully narrated video. Thank you very much.
Beautiful trip. I feel like I took a mini mental vacation just watching it. Of all the places to travel I probably wouldn't have picked this journey and now I'd love to see it in person. Thanks and bon voyage 🗽🍁🛥️⛵🚢🌞
I am overwhelmed of the Beauty and amount of information in both parts of your film. Since I am in possesion of a digital photograph taken around the previous turn of the Century, found in the home and laboratory of Alexander Graham Bell in the early seventies, when a friend of mine was playing with a grand Child to Bell, depicting Joshua Slocum and the Spray in a lock of the Erie Canal, probably on the way to the Exposition. My expectations was exceeded especially when sailing the entire Erie Canal, passing Thousand islands and the home and laboratory of Bell! Thank you very much!

being an old salt[67..71] appreciated the bow view of the journey. Erie et al and, I felt the spray in my face.!!!! Now it seems, are way more vid's..next port , PLEASE and thank you....
Unfortunately, you were misidentifying "Lakers" and "Ocean going or SOLAS class" vessels...but none the less an enjoyable video. Having a son that is 2nd officer on both classes helps with the identification!
Really enjoyed that trip for about the third time. The wife and I are looking at taking a road trip to Nova Scotia some time in 2024. Always enjoy the Fleming trips.
1759 changed the outcome of THE CANADA not just one section. We Indians wished we never let any of them through customs of our time! Customs, what's that? no one owns the land we simply live on it!!!!
When you came through the Canso Canal on your way to the Bras' Dor lakes Cape Breton you literally past right in front of my house...I live near the St Peter's canal in Lennox Passage.

This is a lovely and most impressive trip. The highlight was to see my house in the mountain above the marina at L'Anse-St-Jean (on the Saguenay fjord)!
A lot of people see the Caribbean and the islands of the Pacific as the best cruising grounds for sailors. But I disagree, right here in the US and Canada, are cruising grounds that are way more interesting than so called beautiful islands. Your video helped capture this experience. Thanks.
Great brace of vids, cheers! Commentary was grand, with bits of history thrown in. Couldn't have made a better advert for your vessels than this! Should I ever have a lottery win I'll be in touch mate! ;)
Keluarga saya keluarga baik baik.......keluarga sejuk...damai...tentram..adem...........tapi manusia manusia iri dengki.....menghancurkan ketentraman keluarga saya.....dengan berbagai cara..dan siasat siasat keji......!!!. I am so happy for you to be able in this world to see nature as it stands all over our globe... you are an inspiration to many to buy a beautiful boat and travel.... but many can't so with you we all do.....thank you from my heart .... your videos are awesome so please don't stop putting in 2000 gallons of fuel into the Venture and bring us through the North channel of Canada when it's open into Hudson Bay....
It is actually more accurate to refer to me as the builder rather than the buyer of the boat. I'm afraid it is unlikely that we will be taking her to Hudson Bay but I did have the opportunity to visit the Canadian High Arctic in a more suitable vessel. If you haven't seen the video already you can watch it at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-csxn5yxnI_E.html
I have to laugh, even though you have a gorgeous yacht tied up, you have to access it thru a hole in the fence. Life has a way of keeping you humble 💗💗💗💗💗
Why people did not try to reach America at a narrow place between north east part of Asia and Alaska to enter America with a small boat, before the Europeans?
Magnificent documentary. I know of the natural beauty of British Columbia through Northern California, but had never thought the North East would be so beautiful and the people so generous. Thanks for the entertainment.😊
