Dave , being self employed. I make sure I am available on weekends and holidays . Only because the law writes . When they think your free , they will cuff you ! Hazys Day 2020 !!! I worked service electrical for theaters throughout Michigan ! As 1 person no team ! These managers tried to push the can you handle it factor , they had crew's of a couple plus guys before ! They never factored most people are lazy ! And that i am a huge fan of the Rocky Movies ! Heart and Fire ! The life you accept, is only because you decided to settle to it ! You can have anyone you choose !

The stove you have there is from the 50s. My father had one of those when I was a little boy. It burns white gas and you pump it up. That was our favorite thing setting up the stove and setting up the Coleman lantern when we would go camping with the horses

I'm into yard sales too found a 1976 jeep cherokee with a 401 engine great moter for $300 the guy thought it was a 360. PS your wife is awsome love your kids
Some great finds! I used to love yard sales, but at 72 now, I’m trying to give stuff away, so I drive right on by yard sales…however I do look sideways just in case something catches my eye! Lol
Some good finds for some good prices. Connie and I don't do much "garage" sale-ing due to living so far out of town. When we do get to town it is often on a week day. But we do hit the thrift stores as often as possible and are always in search of the elusive "bargain" also.
I have the green coleman stoves but never saw one like that . I love the stand. Im in a garage sale 12 step program, i cant stop anymore. Someday i hope to bust this addition, i dont ever read the papers and my wife watches to see if i go out on Saturday morning. She is .like a sponser, i make make sure she does not hit the shoe stores. We can both both relapse at any time.

After I retired from the Air Force in 1988, I worked for a personnel agency and they would send me out to different companies that needed help. Coleman was one of them. That stove you bought was like the ones I put together. Too funny. I did it for an entire week and I would say that 150 of these went through my hands in the assembly line. That box for 20 bucks was a steal. Gotta love those yard sales. A lot of my backpacking gear came from yard and moving sales.

That Coleman stove was a good find buddy when me and mamie got married she cooked 3 meals a day on a Coleman while we was building our house we lived in a shack that l lived in while dad built their house and we faried just as good in the shack as we have in the house
Linkless Tennessee nice memory. Those stoves work great. I use mine outside when I need to cook fried, blackened, or stinky food. What region of Tennessee do you fair from? My dad is seeking to relocate to the Southeast area.
I know the process LT!! It opens your eyes to a different world. You build a cabin to live in while you build a house.....and then find life was better in the cabin.

Ha! Thats funny. Picked up that same stove stand at a yard sale 10 years ago, had no idea what they were for but I use them for a small plywood table to have a place to set stuff next to the grill when camping. Awesome deals, Great video.
That's is and awesome haul! Luv the stove! Never seen one like that. I have a green 3 burner that I picked up 15 years ago and have never used. Got it for $20.

That pesky wildlife, always photo bombing when you're right in the middle of a take. ;o) My father had one of those Coleman stoves, we took it on every one of our Boy Scout camping trips. I remember watching him putting it up and taking it down because I was fascinated with the way the stand would expand and collapse. That's an epic find and a real blast from my past.

I do love a good garage sale. Have a barn full of tools(hand and power)purchased at yards sales for a fraction of new cost. And plumbing and electrical supplies
When my husband and I started collecting camping and backpacking gear at garage sales ....we stopped by an older adult couples home. They were downsizing and moving to an assisted living facility. We bought some things and then chatted for while. They started giving us items because they wanted them to go to someone who would really appreciate and use them. Getting ready to leave ...the back of my pickup was nearly full of good quality camping gear that they just gave us. Then, as we hopped in to leave the lady said, "the next time you go canoeing will you come get us and take us along?"....heartbreaker.
@@Bushradical The Coleman alum. 3 burner stove with fold up stand. I was cleaning out the garage several decades ago and it would not hold pressure. I was not thinking when I threw it away. You can't keep everything though.
Love that stove ! And all the noise it requires to take it down ! Just picked up 2 vintage draw knives in the most excellent condition for $40 ! However i have mixed feelings on wanting to do the work to try them out !
Just got back from Alaska, E of Bethal, for 10 days. The best bug attractor, kept the bugs away from me was my 19 yr old son. As a log as he was around the bugs left me alone, lol. Yah head nets but just used it to keep the bugs from buzzing around my ears. Looks like you had a good respite from the cabin. Thanks.
The stove was worth it just for the stand alone. Say hello to Brooke it was fun to see her pop in for a second - sad she tapped, miss her on the show but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. This was fun, didn't know you were so musical!
Dave, I have a brand new cook stove that I got from work... it's basic, but it's my first cook stove. Took it camping last weekend!!! Bacon, eggs, coffee...this is living!!
Fun video... My wife started us going to estate sales bout a year and a half ago... Nearly furnish our new house going to those with very good stuff dirt cheap. Love yard sales and musical instruments too...👍

I'm sure that yard sales in the interior of Alaska are much different than in the deep south. haha. My dad had a very similar stove like that in the early 70s.
I found a double bit Plumb Michigan style with phantom bevels in a falling down barn. Installed a new hickory handle and it's beautiful! A real mans felling axe!
good finds i love that three burner stove i found one of colemans single burner stoves last summer for 5 dollars that had never even been lit the wire grate had not even turned blue yet but they are very blue now thanks for the video see you on the next one
