RGE Travel is with me today to answer you questions about the upcoming cruise May 13th, 2022. Ray & John were able to answer all your questions. I am so looking forward to this trip of a lifetime. I hope that you can join me.
My husband and I took a similar trip way, way back in 2003 for our 20th Anniversary. Get a balcony if you can. I remember waking up and looking out and going, "oh, another beautiful day in Alaska". It was so beautiful. Wasn't cheap but worth every penny. And go a day or two early to explore Vancouver it is a beautiful city.
I took a very similar cruise to Alaska with my mom in July 2013 on Princess cruises. Our trip was the reverse itinerary from Denali to Vancouver. Most beautiful scenery in the world! You'll have a blast, Karen!
I ve done a trip very similar to this...no quilting. Liked it so much we did it again. And, I'd go for a third time. Saw no wildlife in Denali :( but did so on some of the excursions. Loved Alaska a some of the towns have truly lovely quilt shops!
A few quilt shops I found on my last Alaskan cruise: Ketchikan - Whales Tail Skagway - Rushing Tailor, Aurora Yarns (yarn store) Anchorage - The Quilted Raven, Seams Like Home Seward - See N Bee Cozy Juneau - Changing Tales, Alaskan Rose Enjoy!!!
Thanks for sharing. The cruise sounds fantastic. My sister and I were booked to do similar one last year but of course covid hit and we missed out. From Sydney Australia 💞🇦🇺
I’d love to go back to Alaska! I absolutely loved my Cruise in 2012. I flew from Australia to LA to Vancouver, hopped on cruise in Vancouver (with Princess), which then did the Alaskan cruise, and then cruised to Japan, Russia and China. Love Celebrity Cruises.
This sounds like an amazing trip! My husband and I are looking to see how we can work it out. This will be my first cruise, but he's looking forward to it.
This has been #1 on my bucket list for years. I'm very conflicted because I am having a hip replacement in February and do not know how I will be by May. As it is, I use a walker or a wheelchair now to get around. Are there accommodations for these devices, if still needed?
Look at the cruise line website for details on the ship accomodations for disabled passenger. Most ships have accessible cabins, but you must work it out with the travel agent. Now, that said, not sure about the coach bus or train
Maybe those two gentlemen from the travel agency would be able to answer your question through Karen's website? :) I'm betting ships have ways to accommodate cruisers with mobility issues.
Just a reminder that there is a lot of daylight that time of year in Alaska. The sunrise mid-May is at 4:30 am and sunset is after 9:00 (Juneau area). I would suggest booking a room with a window, even if it's just a porthole!
Hi Bonie, Celebrity has a limited number of handicapped access cabins and all venues on the ship are handicapped accessible. As far as Covid, we have to go by the CDC guidelines.
Yes, you can depending on the travel restrictions from your country of origin. To be part of the Karen Brown group you must go through us for reservations. All payments are in USD.
Hi Sandy, if the cruise is cancelled by Celebrity then your funds are fully refundable. The Cruise Line is following all CDC guidelines in regards to vaccines.
Hi Mary, no the costs include the cruise and 2 days cruise tour. Please let us know if you have any further questions by contacting us at info@rgetravels.com
Oh. My. Gosh. I have been booked in this same cruise for a few months. How exciting. Myself and 3 others are going and have 2 balcony rooms. Can I join a class if not part of the group signing up through your group?
Hi Melinda, full passports are required because you are leaving the USA, entering Canada and then departing from Canada and entering back into the USA. US Customs and Immigration rules do not allow for passport cards for this time of exit and entry.
I love your channel, Karen, but at a time when we need to be looking at ways to save the planet, avoiding cruises is one of them - they are some of the worst polluters in the world. Please don't go on cruises.
