Aboard the International Space Station, Expedition 34 Flight Engineer Chris Hadfield of the Canadian Space Agency discussed life and research aboard the orbital laboratory with students in Airdie, Alberta during an in-flight educational event on Mar. 11. Hadfield will become the first Canadian commander of the outpost on March 13 when he takes over command of the complex from NASA's Kevin Ford who returns to Earth with two Russian crewmates on March 14, U.S. time.

Thank you NASA for this interesting video. The children are the future, like it's said in the song. Using Chris wonderful character you really reach the kids dreams. We came from science fiction to this beautiful and majestic ISS. That science fiction was never as beautiful as the real thing we are living today. Good work and Best wishes for all.

The purpose of asking a question, is asking a question. They have had the question "What do you do, in case of an emergency" 100x over, what's wrong with asking, "Well, what could that emergency be?". There are no dumb questions.

I've always wondered, how come nobody asks him, what a lot of people I bet, are thinking? What is the worst possible thing that could happen, equipment wise, on the ISS, if you spill some water, or accidentally pull out a cord, or a plug, what could potentially happen?

If there’s just one mistake, no problem, there are redundancies in place even if one system fails. If multiple redundancies fail, that is called a catastrophic failure.

03:10 start whit Crucial words, which is why we human species today are not able to get down to the moon, and we were fifty years ago, he start talking about "safety" and "don't wish to expose our astronauts to any danger" than you can go and be teacher or babysitter,To be Astronaut mean to be chosen between many, because of courage and determination to risk own life, to risk life for Astronomy and all other branch of science break trough.

Dude, the number one priority is safety. Sure, they are taking on risk, but they aren’t taking on any more risk than they have to to complete the mission

Of course you do not want to watch live broadcasts to the shuttle disintegrates in the air and so on ... but the scale to which the present work the study of the universe, the power received almost administrative branch, which is called a sector for risk assessment and safety of astronauts on missions, acquires paradoxical forms , and I say that this is one of the major reasons for which we will never get to Mars, let alone go outside solar system

The shirt isn't being pulled down by gravity, so it reacts to every movement Chris makes.
