2013-01-17 - On January 17, 2013, Chris Hadfield took part in a space to ground connection with some 820 students gathered at the Chris Hadfield Public School in Milton, ON, his hometown. With the help of fellow Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen hosting the event on the ground, Hadfield answered student questions and even played a little guitar while floating some 380 km above the Earth aboard the International Space Station.

Thanks a lot to Mr. Chris Hadfield and the Canadian Space Agency for bringing astronomy to schools, and also for sharing it with the rest of the world. I'm pretty sure that those kids will never forget the experience. Keep up the good work. I wish you a lot of success. Greetings from the Basque Country

I read Chris Hartfield's idea from Moncton's Times & Transcript. The idea that if humans see the world from space and see how beautiful our planet is, each one of us may think twice about how we treat this planet and most importantly, each other. If one could use even just a birdview to see how beautiful your village, your town or your city, instead of just watching TV, you may be amazed how beautiful your world is. May God bless Canada and its people!

This Chris is such a VERY VERY GOOD influence to all of us! Everyday I'm surrounded by misery but this moments help me believe in better days because there are still good people around. This Events, like the space agency calls it, should keep happening to influence the children at this wonderful ages. I'm 45 and I'm still influenced by Chris. You can imagine a 9 year old child or 12, how it does good to them. Best wishes for Chris and friends.

This guy decided to be an astronaut when he was 9, and now he's LIVING IN SPACE. I'm 23, still can't figure out what I really want to be, and I'm watching this video at 5AM. This video and his experiences are both uplifting and damn depressing. I hope every single one of those kids turn out at least half as good as Hadfield.

It isn't part of Russia before the Scandinavian union at all, Finland was part of the Kingdom of Sweden for over 600 years before being conquered by Russia for less than 100 years until Finland declared independence in 1917 and rejoined the Scandinavian union and still remains independent to this day.

Every organ is actually incredibly well put, for example: your brain won't move at all, your skull is thicker than you'd think, thus keeping your it in place. Food and water on the other hand move around freely within your stomach. :)

Metric system is easy to use because it uses bases of 10. Therefore a thousand meters equals 1 kilometer. However in the U.S., lets take 5280 foot paces and call it a mile. Imperial units are terrible.
@user-kh3yn4sr4e
@user-kh3yn4sr4e 10 месяцев назад
They are Terrible but there is a reason why they are a Hodge podge of units because unlike the Metric system which was built from the ground up and is a single systems. Imperial units are a mixture of different measuring systems used over the centuries. Modern ips are derivatives of the metric system. They are defined by the metric system. The orginal models were destroyed in a fire accident
