Yes, that would be correct, Alex. Alberto had $1,200 at the end of the Double Jeopardy! Round, and Karen had -$200. So, Alberto wins the 2nd Place Prize, and Karen has to settle for the 3rd Place Prize.
And we're out of time. Alberto and Karen, I'm afraid to say that neither one of you will be joining with us on Final Jeopardy. It's always hard to run into a 2 day champ I imagine, but thanks for joining us. We loved having you
That was in the same style as Mattea Roach's Single Player Final Jeopardy!, when Loni Lewis & Sean Wong both finished in the negative, and couldn't participate in Final Jeopardy!.
@@theweysermanisback5205 right on that goes same for Bernard and Billy in UTOC. And of course Rebecca and Peter as well and others blah blah blah. Except Alex Switzky fell into no money while Natt Supab had negative
The problem with Alex Switzky is that he had money before he found the last Daily Double, decided to make it a True Daily Double, and took a guess with St. Marie, but it was Gertrude Stein, and then, the buzzer hit, which meant that Alex & Natt were unable to participate in Final Jeopardy!, which made Kevin Walsh play all by himself, and it made me be 100% convinced that a zoomout on Kevin Walsh would be the only time in Season 37 that we would see it, and I was right. Plus, as everybody remembers, this was the last Single Player Final Jeopardy! in Alex Trebek's lifetime.
What I don’t understand is why neither Alberto nor Karen buzzed in on the $600 clue; given how they had to ring in to have any chances of playing in Final Jeopardy, I don’t see why they wouldn’t
had to happen I suppose sometime this season for the 1st time we will have only 1 player participating in Final Jeopardy! Alberto and Karen it didn’t work out for you guys and I’m sorry for that but in an all fairness Beryl is a terrific player she’s fast on the button and she doesn’t miss too many so Alberto and Karen because both of you are tied right now the 2nd place prize will go to the player who was leading at the end of the previous round and let’s see that was Alberto you two figure it out
That was exactly what Alex Trebek said. I looked up the scores heading into the Double Jeopardy! Round on J! Archive, and he was right. Alberto was leading heading into that round. So, Alberto wins the 2nd place prize, while Karen has to settle for the 3rd place.
