I’ve been listening to this album for the first time along with you and I’ve got to say, I’m surprised. I had vaguely recognized the name Lotus but with no real connection to anything. Im definitely gonna have to listen to this on repeat.

God I love this band. Consistently great for the last 10 years. Last 2 albums have leaned to the mainstream more with them concentrating on the metal side of their sound rather than the prog side (which I think most people expected and like NMA always do - go the opposite way to what’s expected 😂) The last 2 albums have Floyd moments also. Illusion and most notably Vitals from the new album. Top 3 band for me with NMA and King’s X. Would love to see you do more 🤘

Just as a side note. Martin (drums) writes pretty much all the songs and then the band come in as a whole and tinker and guide the process. One thing I’ve always loved about Soen is the non flashiness he does on the kit. Plays for the song and his parts are just really classy too. 🤘

Good evening Jim, First song. You probably are going to mention Pink Floyd guitar vibes. A bit of Marillion. I like this very much. Yes, now you mention PF. You know I type my comments while listening. I want this album. Second song. Great. Yes, I agree with your comments on his voice; that’s what makes it great. Third song. Great singing. (How can people prefer growling 🤯)
