Melon Cake is about her old team. They wanted to represent the "barbie body artist" and Demi wasn't that. So on Demi's birthdays they got her a watermelon with low fat whipped cream instead of an actual birthday cake.

Fun fact- in I.C.U (Madison’s Lullaby), when Demi woke up in the ICU, she was completely blind and Madison (her little sister) was there and said something to Demi and Demi said ‘who is this?’

Also, ICU also makes a reference to that first time she woke up after she OD, she was blind, couldn't see a thing and her sister Madison was the one she didn't see.

To answer your questions: with The Way You Don't Look at Me, you're aware that Demi already has issues with eating disorders, so this one is about being in a relationship and feeling as though her partner doesn't appreciate her body the way they should and making her feel unwanted. The message in Easy is about leaving a relationship and trying to look like it she isn't hurt by it. She says in The Kind of Lover I Am that once she finds someone she likes that's it, she falls hard. But with other songs she shows that she also knows her worth in a relationship and will leave if it's not good for her. So basically just because she's the one to end a relationship doesn't mean it doesn't still hurt because she does love hard, but she wants to appear strong in that situation. I'd say this is in relation to the situation with her ex-fiance. 15 Minutes is also about him lol

She didn’t respond in a negative way to it, but decided to slap back with this track. The verse praying on Malibu is a reference to him calling TMZ to take a pic of him crying on a beach in Malibu. He’s a very emotionally manipulative douche.

15 minutes is one of my favorites, it's about her ex fiancé who basically is known for trying to date celebrities because of fame, he did it with demi and tried with selena gomez that's why she says "now you’ve got your 15 minutes, pack your stuff you can COME AND GET IT" and then she laughs, HER MIND!!!!!

demi actually did not write easy, so it makes sense that it kind of conflicts the earlier themes of the album. that being said, demi has always struggled with a fear of abandonment and has been known to somewhat weaponize her sexuality to fight that fear (she talks about both of these things later in the documentary as well) - so the struggle between those themes is also very authentic to demi’s own experiences!

She was super deep into emo, The Academy Is, etc, and then eventually just went full metal and went moshing at Job For A Cowboy/Dimmu Borgir concerts at age 15. ICU hits hard when you know the meaning, when Demi first got sober her mother told her she couldn’t see her sister Madison unless she got help, then it felt to her like a wicked joke from God when she woke up legally blind after her overdose and couldn’t see her little sister sitting at her bedside.

i loved this! In my opinion, Easy was basically Demi calling herself out as faking it (in The Kind of Lover I Am). The Kind of Lover I Am is very confident and self-assured, and Easy is obviously such a stark contrast to that. I think it was purposeful because she's basically saying "I know I'm good at this, at making it look so easy to walk away from things that don't serve me. But in reality, it's really fucking hard." Which is SO relatable. I particularly love the line "the hardest part of leaving is to hold the heavy breathing back, from showing you how hard it is for me to make it look so easy."

Love your reactions. As a person who has been through addiction and come out the other side there is no one way fits all approach every one is different. For me it was literally cold turkey but people I know went a very different way and thankfully we all came through ok.
