fun fact, you don’t do it for me anymore has double meaning and it’s literally her singing to her old self, if you pay attention to the lyrics knowing that it’s gonna hit so hard

demi said she wrote ruin the friendship and only forever about the same person and in the beginning of only forever she says “i’ve been thinking bout the future, i’ve been thinking bout the now” well, future now was the name of the tour demi and nick did together.....

Fun fact: If you watch the TMYLM music video someday, you‘ll see how she imagined getting left by him and then she realizes that the only thing she needs is herself. When she sings the „everything I need is standing right in front of me.“ she is standing in front of the mirror.

There’s 2 more songs from this album you really have to hear, it’s on her target version... it’s “Smoke and Mirrors” which is my fav song ever and also “Ready for Ya” basically about someone she wasn’t ready for

The fact that this album didn't get any recognition at the Grammys is a crime, honestly. TMYLM and DWTDTAOSO are her absolute best albums and deserve all the awards. But even after years in the industry, she's still so underrated. I hate it. She's the most amazing singer out there atm and her song writing is on another level! I hope she gets her Grammy for DWTDTAOSO. Anything else is just ridiculous and so disrespectful!

Demi’s honesty and raw powerful voice is THE BEST thing about her so I’m so happy you mentioned that. Unfortunately the production on the albums Unbroken and Demi almost completely erased these best things about her. But even amidst the generic manufactured pop songs on them, the good ones are GOOD. You can really tell when shes passionate about her music vs when she was just fulfilling a contract. I’m interested to see your thoughts on more Demi! :)

The moment at 6:57 - 7:00 minute mark hits soooooo hard live in concert you have no idea , the drums have like an echo to it and then she hits that high note , I swear ever since I seen that song in concert I can’t get over that part of the song , the drums and the reverb in the way the drums hit , it just fills the room, you can literally feel each drum going through your entire body . Idk why but I’m so obsessed with that part of the song , and it’s because of the live experience , it’s a literal ear gasm
