Such a scenario increases the risk of health hazards and associated criminal activities, further undermining the intended goals of the ban. Overall, the ineffectiveness of the ban on alcohol becomes evident due to the continued availability of alcohol, the economic disadvantages faced by the banned state, and the potential negative consequences on public safety. These factors collectively demonstrate that a ban on alcohol, in this scenario, fails to achieve its desired outcomes and highlights the need for alternative approaches to address alcohol-related concerns.

Something I know is that Maharashtra regulates alcohol sale and consumption properly because it's not a dry state. Strict shut down of wine shops after 10 pm or no wine shops or bars 5 km from any highway. But in Nagaland, because of NLPT, all regulations regarding sale and consumption is nil because theoretically there is no alcohol in nagaland.

In most of the Nagaland Rehab centres, you will hardly find any people staying in rehab due to Alcohol, most of the time it's Sunflower users and Medical Drugs Abusers.

Law must change with the change of time if it's not benefitting the society. NLTP Act, 1989 toh outdated hoise hoh, fungus b olai na thakivo.

In kerela whoever drinks stand in queue with discipline with limited consumption of bottle per head. Moderate drinks doesn't give any health benefits nor maximum but to a limit and with respect to economic freedom to trade.

I know many who drink and harrassed their family ...wife ...both physically n emotionally... We called it Dry State but its available everywhere... Why no body takes action against the seller ??

Nagaland Government must remove the NLPT act immediately.Opened liquor shops in Nagaland but the sellers must sell only one quarter to any customers and if he is caught making troubles to anyone, he or she must be arrested and put inn jail and he must to pay fine of 5000 or 1000 after that release him on bail then there will no drunkards or trouble makers in a family or in a colony.

You'll find informers of NSCN outside these liquor shops, if you buy more than 2 case they'll inform the Liquor army 😅 they'll seize the goods and take you to their syndicate shops and ask you to buy from that particular shop.

Sir my small help to u, if u wanted to know how those non local liquor shops are available of every kind of liquor n sells openly,even after being ban,u need to spend some hours at d check post starting from 11 pm till 3 am,those police will be scourtng as if ministers on political missions,full load of truck,n d next day those police will be on duty as heavy checking harrasing poor people n take away,not even able to cross check post with some quarter,this is happening.

Naga's maintaining 'dry state' is the most stupid thing to see in 21'st Century. Our money is not regulating within nagaland, no source of income. I support alcohol ban should be lifted.
