I love working with Gelli plates and alcohol inks. So much fun. Love layering them with the paint. Sorry I missed this when you put it out. Now you can use Mixed Media paper as well even with the alcohol inks.

Great demo! When I first started, I was drawn to butterflies, then it changed to flowers and leaves. I am at the point now that I have to stop myself from buying more of these two subjects as I have way more than I will ever use.

Hello from Illinois. I love how versatile the gelli plate is. So many different mediums to play with yet mine sits on the shelf, lol. My only stamp weaknesses is if it is on SALE or clearance! It must be on sale for me to buy it.

Very interesting indeed! Just contemplating either making or buying a Gelli Plate and was unsure what size I'd want. Having watched you tonight, I think I'll buy one and I'll get the 5" x 7". Can't wait to use my distress oxides on one but will have to have a go with the alcohol inks too!

I am always drawn to butterflies and dragonflies, dragons and snowflakes, though i am picky about the style particularly snowflakes. Snowflakes HAVE TO have 6 sides! My mom taught be to make 6 sided paper snowflakes by the time I was in first grade.

Is there any other medium that can be used to lift the alcohol ink? The alcohol lift ink isn't available for me 😔 but I like to try the lifting technique.

You can try a light archival ink, like gray.
