Waihiga Mutero knows what it means to have alcohol ruin and control your entire life.
At age 15, she was already mixing drinks and in her twenties she was taking it like water. Not only did she become hostile towards her sister but it also took her nine years to get her degree.
So what exactly changed?
Here is her story on today's episode of the Lynn Ngugi Show

Waihiga! You are a brilliant mind that almost got robbed the brilliant future of your destiny. For you, to have shared your story must have taken STRENTH! in which you try not to take credit for, and you say it is the grace of God. Grace is amplified when we are open for it to take its natural course. I see a greater future for You! making meaningful contributions to our community and beyond as you take your journey, one day at a time. Thank you for caring to share. You are in our good thoughts and intentions.( some like to call it prayers 🤣)More Blessings 💕💕💕

Haha. I like how the story begins. When she talked to the alcohol like where have you been all my life? That was me with weed. I ended up getting high almost everyday if not everyday for four years. I am 6 months sober now. If anyone is reading this and thinks drugs and thinks its good for them, try and stop. If you cannot control it, you are in problems. But if you stop using for a while and look at the bigger picture, youll realize there was a gap you were trying to fill, but the sad part is, drugs only filled that gap temporarily. You'll always try to catch that feeling again, how it felt the first time you drunk or smoked, but the more you chase that first high the more you need to get there. In short, addiction is real and spiritual and there's only one person who can break such shackles; JESUS. Whoever is set free by the son is free indeed. That's how I stopped using. JESUS. Praise God.

Alcoholism has 5 Stages. And it is a nervous system Illness 1.experimenting and Binge drinking 2.increase to alcohol 3.problem drinking 4.physical Dependance 5.100% Addiction .here the alcohol is being consumed anytime and anything one comes across..dont care attitude etc Yes i have been thru this stages for 20yrs and i did 2 therapies that didnt work even i backslided again..wow it is a non ending rollercoaster i swear.i eventually did a cold Therapy all by myself @home of which was not easy but i remained patient and consistent.. Well it's now almost 4yrs that i dont consume alcohol.. and every second that passes without that stuff then i keep thanking God and always proud of myself. Whoever is reading this and is trying to fight an addiction my encouragement is "for every problem there is always a solution" and change has to start within you..don't give up.blessed all

Alcoholism is also a stronghold from the devil.....call it a spirit if you like springing up from many experiences. In Jan 2019 when I knelt beside my bed to pray as I started my 10 days fast, I was having a crazy hangover, hardly could walk. A pastor from a church I had started going to in November previous year suggested we fast so that we can start the year well. After the cross-over service, I went on a drinking spree. But after kneeling down and crying to God that evening with a crazy hangover, I stood up with a changed appetite. That coming Sunday morning in my livingroom listening to a gospel song before going to church, I got convicted and gave my life to Christ. 2019 was a struggle coz I was still dealing with the same friends and everytime we met they expected me to have a drink, I would shingo upande but just a drink or two. They couldn't believe that I was nolonger interested in drinking. I didn't buy anymore alcohol to keep at home though. Late 2019 I decided to cut ties with everyone I knew in that world and my journey of sobriety really started. 2 years later, I don't remember that life. God has restored me and wiped away all the pain. I am at a better place. A very calm, happy, and very productive person. No anxities anymore. I don't know what I would have done or what would have happened to me if Covid crazy would have found me ln that lifestyle...🤔🙆‍♀️ I thank God. Glory to God!

What a beautiful Woman all rounder ♥️ Alcohol is like being in an abusive relationship with domestic violence, emotional violence, instead of bringing joy it kills your happiness and robs you of every single thing. The only saviour is Jehovah who can turn lives around, am so sorry for your experience

I'm glad she came forward, alcoholism is slowly taking root in our country unchecked and it's been justified with phrases like 'kwani ni kesho' plus the music out here is either to do with sex or alcohol , I'm actually saddened when i see on insta, young girls n boys partying monday to sunday, living a fantasy life, with no care about tomorrow.. this thing will explode and in God forbid in 5 years time this country will have so many youths who lack direction..

He teaches about spiritual and supernatural things. That’s our answer to spiritual problems. All our problems are spiritual. Thanks for the English, I was able to follow this program.
