Sandy Alomar Jr. was a beast in the playoffs that year.

He was cash money pretty much the last 1/2 of 1997. I'll never forget that HR he hit to win the ASG and Fox's hot/cold zone for him was ALL RED...and he hits the home run on cue. Guy was just cash that year.

How different would Sandy’s career have been if hadn’t chosen catcher? He just didn’t have the body for it. Should have always been a first baseman.

You know, there is someone who only looks at the closers' saves numbers and thinks Benitez was awesome.

This was in the 9th, not 12th inning.

Yep. Game 3 the day before went 12, ending on that old chestnut, the old missed-suicide-squeeze-steal-of-home play. If you've seen one of those...

He was a lot of teams' play toy when it matters.

I am so annoyed that we had this unprofessional, unenthusiastic announcer joe fuck during these great playoff moments. Clearly pulled for the Yankees, orioles, and anyone else facing the Indians.
