I know right? I remember sort of laughing at how the rest of the team didn't give much of a shit that he'd hurt himself because there was a pennant to celebrate lol.
As an NL fan with no horse in this race, my favorite moment in this video has got to be the Tigers one in 2006. That calls gives chills that pierce through my body every single time I hear it.
@@brianmailloux3218 I was in Vegas that day seeing the Star Trek Experience, and I missed most of the game, but I happened to be sitting in Quark's Bar when Ordonez hit the walk-off (they had it on the TV at the bar).
Sophon Photirut why do you want me to feel pain? But if you want to know my other favorite teams I be glad to tell you NFL: Philadelphia Eagles NHL: New York Rangers NBA: Boston Celtics
Yup....clearly WAY inside....they say human error is part of the game, and not that this pitch would have changed anything per say....but, human error can cost teams big time. They clearly have the ability, at least nowadays, to have a system, where someone is watching a monitor, with the strike zone for every hitter, which can be adjusted based on a hitters height, linked via an earpiece to the Ump, and all they have to do, is say ball or strike to the ump, and make the game more fair. This would not slow the game down, not anymore than replay already does....
@@ECWChris94 well, if that's true, then they waited a long time for retribution....cause the Alomar spitting incident happened in 1996. The pitch being referred to in this, was in 1997.
Little bit of a fun fact, on the last play of the 1997 ALCS, Robbie Alomar strikes out (on a certainly questionable call), his brother Sandy Alomar Jr. was the catcher behind the plate for the Indians. He caught the last putout against his brother to clinch it. Brothers, but in that moment competitors and their complete opposite reactions prove it.
@@WhFastus thing is, yankee fans have gotten spoiled on championships, thats why they're so salty right now. They also forget at one time they went 18 years without a title. Hell, Astros fans had to wait 43 years just to get.to the world series, and wait 12 more years after that to get a title. Yankee fans are a bunch of babies if you ask me
Buck calling Red Sox 0-3 comeback to take the pennant is terrible you gotta have more enthusiasm than that it’s an almost impossible feat and he nonchalantly calls it
I don't like Buck at all, but I can let that pass because that series was beyond exhausting. I was ecstatic as a Sox fan, but I can see where a neutral observer would be ready for it to just die. I do recall being disappointment in Joe Castiglione's call for the final out of the World Series. He's a Sox broadcaster for shit's sake, and he was ready to just go out to dinner.
I think more so because the game was blowout and the Red Sox had all but won the ALCS by the 4th inning, so the last 3 outs were really just a formality
2005 ALCS white Sox beat Angels who later won the World Series after sweep the Houston astros next year the Detroit Tigers swept the Oakland A’s then get beat by the St. Louis cardinals then six years later the tigers swept the Yankees in ALCS then got swept by San Francisco giants in the W.S then next year ALCS they lost Game 6 to Boston Red Sox went to win the World Series after defeat the st Louis cardinals
