I've got the exact same set with the addition of a drill before Christmas as they were on sale. I got the lot with one 5Ah 40v battery for £90. Brilliant value.
use all these as a builder. 2 impact, 3 drills, angle grinder, multi tool, and SDS drill, and their crocodile. 2 chargers and nine assorted batteries. easily equal to my 2 ryobi impacts. The sds is a bit weak compared to my Makita 24V sds, but look at the price difference. Recommend this kit, and it all has a 3 year warranty.
If you use them daily as a builder then that's the perfect example of reliability. Thanks for watching, I have some cheap second-hand tools like a Dewalt SDS that has always done me well but doesn't see much use really. My aldi angle angle grinder though is used daily and I have one with a cutting disc and one with a sanding disc to make life quicker and easier.
I got a ferrex cordless drill a couple of years ago… I’ve absolutely brutalised it! Still going strong. Even if it breaks now, at £30 I’ve more than had my moneys worth
@@SmellyCatCreations the plastics on the blue ferrex 20/40 german ones is brilliant now they are grey Belgium and not as good. 2019 model was best 👌 the battery's last years mine still going from 2019
Edit: since posting this, my drill, impact driver and circular saw all broke within days of each other. You can’t buy the Active Energy batteries either now, which is a bit of a disaster. In some cases they still sell the tools, but not the batteries, which is ridiculous.
At 2:37, what you need to do is sliding the speed button from high to low and you will get the drill in high torque so you will release the chuck easily. This is an issue in many drills. I have a few Parkside tools and I particularly like the Parkside angle grinder because it has a speed control button in it, a feature that you hardly find in cordless grinders.
I will give that a try thanks very much. Speed function in the angle grinder would be very cool, most are just on or off yeah. I have a Parkside sand blaster, and few other bits.
Thank you 😊 nice, I did have a battery go wrong but received a replacement from Germany this week. handy it had 2 years warranty. Think I let it go too dead
Aldi tools are good, I've submitted the multi tool to harsh punishment and it's still working. All going brushless now. Have the impact driver and it is very good. There's a brushless angle grinder now too and combo drill, but for me I need a brushless multi tool!
Yeah they have been serving me well,. I have a new video to edit and upload for Ingco tools which are very affordable and also have a large range of tools using the same batteries.
I have a power craft drill i bought years ago when aldi wasn't long open and its the ordinary battery not like the lithium batteries today and surprisingly its still going strong i am very impressed with it 👍
@@SmellyCatCreations they have just released a new range ferrex pro there brushless and better 😉 go check them out I have all thoes that you have and the ones befoure when they were blue then the started to make bad quality ones but this new range looks good I am using them now and seem very good👍 .
Yeah well worth it mate, use the angle grinder especially all the time. Need to do a video on my 2 silverline air tools, the brad nailer and the air stapler. Cheap again but have saved me so much time.
I only have aldi and lidl tools. I have used dewalt before and they are better but for the price. I am not a handy man but use it at home DIY. Would highly recomend them
Yeah you can tell the difference between the higher brands but unless it's getting fairly heavy usage its hard to warrant the extra price you need to pay
I ordered a number of tools from Aldi , payed for them but Aldi said I would not have them and they took them back to the warehouse. The same thing happened with clothes and shoes. Still waiting for them.
They do certainly seem to be very popular. I have some new tools to test and video coming up. A new impact driver from Ingco tools and a cordless mitre saw and nail gun from the worx. Be sure to keep an eye out for them. The oscillating cutter has seen the least use from my ferrex purchase but super handy when it is needsd. Thanks for watching 👀
Fitted kitchens bathrooms & bedrooms with aldi tools for years & never been loosed down with them the battery packs are samsung one of best you can get & a three year guarantee on the tools beat that if you can
They have added loads of tools that run these batteries, chainsaws, lawnmowers, Strimmers, circular saws, jig saws, recuperating saws etc etc. I think they even do a nail gun
@@SmellyCatCreations I've just bought the multi tool and grinder myself. The problem is people keep buying the batteries up and sell them on for 50%+ more each. I got lucky and found 3 for £18 each when a woman bought the wrong ones. I've got a work zone drill that I've had for about 5 years its still going strong on the only original battery. I'm definitely getting the drill and impact gun next
@@bb-ballistics1706 I just had a look on their site and can't see the other tools at the moment but will keep an eye out for them. I better try grab a battery or two I only have 2 between 4 tools.
@@SmellyCatCreations most of there tools don't go on the website. Its pot luck as to whats in the shop. They seem to restock about every 3 months. There's a aldi power tools group on FB and people let you know when stuff is in stock.
@David Waters agree yeah, I don't use mine day in and day out but the angke grinder and the reciprocating cutter got a good use at the weekend. Affordable cordless trim router isn't something I have seen yet.
Thanks for the feedback, I will certainly keep this in mind for future videos so thanks for the recommendations. The angle grinder has been my most used tool of theirs.
Your probably right many items have lowered quality to reduce price. I might do another video of cheap tools that have paid for themselves in one job. Like my silverline air nailer
@@SmellyCatCreations For similar money parkside is almost better quality I think in today's market worth having a look mate . The silverline video sounds good aswell
@@dartman9265 cheers as another viewer commented next months Lidl newsletter does show some good value Parkside tools. I have one more silverline air stapler coming this week for a job so will make a video once I have tested that 👍🏻 thanks for watching btw
I to bought one of these angle grinders, but having an issue with it can't put any pressure on while cutting because it stops and you have to repress the on and off switch for it too come on have you had this problem I wonder and I'm puzzled of what it might be that's causing this ?
What is it your cutting? All cordless grinders will cut out under too much stress. Full battery, thinner cutting disc if your cutting helps as reduces surface contact. You can't plunge them in the same way you would with a corded power tool as they don't have that same power behind them. You need to cut slower and not make massive sudden slow down of the motor
They really are, I see some complaints the angle grinder stops but I cut thick angle iron and you just need to be slightly more gentle attacking it than an electric grinder. It's totally fine then
Oh really, I don't like having lots of brands of tools and batteries that's for sure. Keep thinking about picking up another angle grinder to keep a flappy sanding disc on.
@@BedsitBob I went to look not long ago to see if they had anymore tools discounted but sadly not. always happy to pick them up when even cheaper than normal.
@@SmellyCatCreations just lightly vaccum the inside filled with wood chipping and what looks like red brick dust most likely from drilling directly on top of it. Thanks for the speedy reply and by the looks of it a lengthy warranty claim.
£10 for the impact and £10 for the drill, bought the drill yesterday, thinking of buying the angle grinder with the 40v battery and the impact driver.. I'm curious where the grinder is £10 too (norwich Norfolk)
Upgraded from an older 18v kit. ru-vid.comUgkxW1vOBRCMrgTCDEijzpVzDWsgI-Jm2iQv I independently chose the drill and impact tool, before I came across the kit.I like the 3 speed impact gun. It seems more powerful than my older one, and it can be set to be really gentle. The drill is more appropriately sized for my use. I used to have a hammer drill, but I did not like that it was so big and it was not a great hammer drill. I rather have a smaller drill like this, and then get a corded hammer drill for the odd case I need that.
These look like they're worth trying. I'll probably pick a couple up when I next go to Aldi. Can anybody tell me what the difference is between the Activ energy battery platform and the highstar ones please? Which version is the better from the two
The impact drivers were reduced to £16.99 today. 19.99 for the bare unit in a case and various driver bits, still no battery. Their garden strimmer that uses the same battery is brilliant too I picked that up when it was a special buy too.
@@SmellyCatCreations id say wheels nuts and replacement of suspension parts such as track control arms, ball joints etc... I need smth not expensive but with proper torque for it. As I am not a pro, but I am fed up to work with hand tools all the time...I dont need to spend fortune for a tool that i ll use twice a year.Hope You ll understand. Thanks.
@Łukasz Jurys well I would say you need to watch my next tool review that's due out soon when it's finished. The Ingco tools impact socket driver. Comes with 3 sockets which fit most wheel nuts
Batteries. Are. A. Problem. Please. Believe me. Plus. Hand in. Pocket to. Sent to. Get the. Warranty Looked after. Melbourne. Australia. It took. 2. Weeks to. Get. The. Two. Batteries. Replaced. From. Sydney Australia
You can get 2 40v batteries for £56 delivered of Ali express I got the drill and driver for £30 on sale so 86 for the lot and they are brilliant Aldi make the money on the batteries which is why the tools are so cheap as you can get a whole system and will keep going back to Aldi for batteries and then buy shopping also it brings more men on to the shop it's very clever marketing really as once you have a few batteries you're invested in the system so if one does brake you'll just replace it and not change brand
I must admit once I get a system with a few tools and batteries I do hate having multiple brands as just all the different chargers are a pain enough. One brand often doesn't seem to offer all the tools I need which is the issue. I still use the Aldi angle grinder daily and it has yet to let me down, so for the price I paid im well happy with it.
