Thank you so much! I got some of this and I only know how to crochet and cannot get it to work with hooks 😂 I’m so excited cos I’ve cast on and did a few rows!! Thank you again and have a wonderful day ❤
Hello Sheila. I bought some of this Pom Pom yarn from Aldi a while ago but never got around to making a blanket with it yet. You’ve put me in the mood for using it. Mine is the the same colour as yours.
@@sheilasknittingtipsandothe3191 Thank you Sheila but now that I’ve found your tip in making the loop stitch which is how I used to do it many years ago and I’d forgotten how to make the loop I’ve ordered the yarn and want to start this first before making the blanket.
Made 2 baby blankets with Sirdar pom pom wool. Thanks for helping me with my "how tos" with this wool especially joining another ball. Got pics but don't think I can upload them. My daughter who's expecting a little girl next March is thrilled with them!! Soooo soft, knit up so quickly once you have the hang of it 😉
Hi Sheila how I laughed you had me giggling 🤭 that cheeky woman you were her free meal ticket. Your cardigan is really lovely each time I see it the colour really suits you. Just got in from the garden been in all afternoon thank goodness got the lawn cut at last and been tidying up in the Sunshine if you can remember what that looks like . Fed up with all the rain . Happy 😃 knitting 🧶 Keep in touch love Sandra x
@@sheilasknittingtipsandothe3191 I can knit but not crochet and that drives me crazy as so many things I want to create ,I am a miniaturist and knit with sewing thread lol , I am from Fenham my whole family knitted I think its a northern thing ,my friends in other countries crochet lol I cannot get away with that in the scale I need for my dollhouses but I keep trying xx
@@sheilasknittingtipsandothe3191 these are a 1mm very sharp ,I have seen 0.6mm but havn't tried them yet ,I think the old 14 UK size is a 2mm so you where not far away from miniature lol
It’s a bit fiddly - I tried three times before I could hack it - but your calm and informative video helped a lot. I felt as though we were in your house and we were quietly knitting together. 😀
Hi sheila, thanks for this video! I made a pompom scarf during my teenage years and would love to make another one for my daughter now. Can you tell me how many meters we need to make a full length adult scarf please? Thanks!
Thank you, I’ve finished my blanket, but really struggling to cast off! I want the pom-poms to line up. Any help would be great. I’m going to watch your video 😊
Hi Sheila I stopped by to visit you're Lovely channel. I hit all the buttons and bell I hope you do too Tyfs ❤ I'm soooo Looking forward to seeing more videos!! Have a wonderful day much love to you 🥰
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2OLe1h0Ap_c.html Sorry i did not put up a video how to cast off this pompom yarn Dorothy, wish i had now, i do not have any of this yarn left to do a tutorial, but i have included a link to the nearest that way i did it , remember to keep your stitches as slack as possible hope this helps..
Can you confirm 1 pom pom between for casting off Sheila and not 2 as before. I did a pom pom blanket using ordinary yarn at the end as someone suggested but it came out tight and drew it in.
@@susanmayes5221 it's quite a while since i knit with the pompom wool, i only ever knit the once with it for my grandaughter cause she hadn't a clue what to do with it lol, it's hard to remember how i cast off think i only had 1 pompom between 2 cast off stitches, if you used ordinary yarn to cast off you would have had to leave a very slack cast off stitch, i wouldn't recommend that way, i should have made a tutorial when i came to cast off, i will be at my grandaughters this Sunday Mar 7th i will find her scarf and check how i cast off and let you know for sure if she still has it that is ....
I keeping picking up an extra stitch or 2 every row. I’ve done 4 rows, I started with 50 stitches across, 2 between each Pom Pom and 4 rows later I’m up to 54. Any suggestions?
@@sheilasknittingtipsandothe3191 Yes, I saw your scarf after I asked the question and then I thought of a bath mat and then I thought of a blanket for a dog bed, hey I'm on a roll now🤣
Morning Sheila just watched how you casted on for Pom Pom it took me ages can you show how you casted off please. I have knitted one for the girl at the hairdresser who is having a baby. Did you say you have two packets where did you buy it from I brought my two balls from the wool shop £10 a ball . I did look lovely when finished but I would like too know how you cast off please. Just had hair cut and walk-in back home nearly got blown off my feet 🦶 pouring down. Hope bingo went well .look forward too hearing from you .Take care love Sandra x
I never did a tutorial on how to cast off pompom yarn Sandra and i don't have any left, it was my grandaughters yarn from Aldi's that i knit up for her think it was about £5 for 4 balls , 🤗
