Alduin, being the prideful dragon that he is(by "prideful" I mean the fact that he compulsively mentions how Akatosh is his dad every chance he gets) isn't fond of using underhanded tactics. Why would he need to? It's not like some mortal stealth archer is going to be able to do anything against him, right?

I've been having some pretty bad issues with my PC lately, and I'm kind of certain this old thing is about to croak. On the bright side, Elevenlabs got a huge update and the Alduin AI voice sounds a lot more like the original. Still not perfect but it's getting there.

If fight was lore accurate, he would have been able to crack this mountain in half literally. And likely make canyon down to tectonic plate. It is said in-game and in-lore that all dragons hold back constantly, neat detail, since if they stopped, then things would go awry really, really quickly.

666 views when I got here... Poor Alduin, Bethesda doesn't need to balance the game when it just (and only just) works. It doesn't have to work well; just be mostly functional.
