During a special hearing in the Alec Baldwin trial, the state and defense argued about how the actor was acting in his police statement to detectives after the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. The court went over what should be redacted from the interview before showing it to jurors.

Famed actor and movie producer Alec Baldwin was indicted on one count of involuntary manslaughter in January for the death of 42-year-old cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Hutchins died on Baldwin’s “Rust” movie set. Armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter for Hutchins’ death. She was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Thank goodness Alec Baldwin is cleared of all charges. This case should NOT have moved forward to begin with. Prosecutors and the police are disgusting. The shooting is not Alec Baldwin's fault.

He did pull the trigger while pointing the gun at a crew member during rehearsal. Witnesses even claim that the armorer was allowed to walk away from set since there was not going to be the actual shooting of the gun. Did he accidentally pull the trigger? Or was it an act of recklessness and disregard towards the crew safety?

I have watch a few of these videos. It seems like the prosecutor is sort of a bumbling stutterer. The "Judge" seems uninterested and lax. At one point, AB walks out in a huff and she never gets him for contempt nor does she tell the bailiff to retrieve him. This is just as i thought, a mocking of justice. A circus of "professionals" you might find in that tiny out of the way town where the only criminals they ever prosecute, are the out of town travelers that Sheriff Billy Bob snatches off the road in one of his speed traps. What a joke. Let me save everyone some time. AB will recieve a 5 year sentence that will be overturned into 3 years probabtion and a happy little $500,000.00 fine to pay the circus clowns and chimps.

@@alexkosmatka5726 Nope. My bad. Just like the court, I didn't know they were going to purposely withhold evidence to aid this case to be dismissed without prejudice. Masterful! All these bumblers along with the obvious withholding of evidence must have cost a lot of $$$. I like to think that payoffs were made, because if this court and those who were responsible for handling evidence and reports are this inept, I've lost all hope for the legal system in New Mexico.

@@nosuchthing8 I made the mistake of basing my theory on other crimes such as this. When the accused is a public figure, they're given a stiff monetary fine and probation. I had no way of knowing this court employed circus clowns, and that the material handlers evidence would magically not be given to the court. ($$$).... You almost sound satisfied and happy this hot head beat the system. As for me, I am saddened thst the only closure Halenys son will ever have, just greased his way out of responsibility for his actions. I don't feel bad for her husband who allowed himself to be bought out by AB with a cushy high paying job. Her son is a victim a few times over.

Why would you accept a firearm from any one already loaded and believe its safe. safety proto calls need to be checked as well as chain of custody of weapon and ammo. who was utimately in charge is at fault.

Unpopular opinion incoming: I can't stand this prosecutor's demeanor, her condescension and her aggressiveness. It is so off-putting and if I was a juror, I would not be impressed with her AT ALL. He looked completely distraught in the police interview. Anyone saying otherwise is a liar! It's unimaginable that any actor would be concerned that someone put a live bullet in the prop gun on a movie set. It was found that Jensen Ackles from the same movie also had a live bullet in his holster. He clearly wasn't checking for it! If it came from him would they be here charging him with manslaughter? Would the commenters be so hateful? 90% of the people in this comment section are here because they are trump supporters and still can't get over his SNL trump performance. The investigation was shoddy and this prosecution is clearly personal!

Its more so how he was on set. Pushing for things to happen faster, hiring low-level skilled people and firing the gun at a person, not off to the side) in a rehearsal after telling the prop woman she would not be needed. He is not as guilty as she is, but his actions do add to it.
