Thank you very much for your videos, Stephen. I just bought an SR18. Your short workshops help a lot to understand this drum machine. I will programme some patterns, which I‘ll use for my own songs. I’m looking forward to enable the synchronisation with the different loopers I use (voicelive 3 extreme, RC3 Boss or looping function of my helix). The majority of people who watch my video do not have a manual because they bought their unit second-hand...... but even those persons that have a manual, find it CONFUSING ..... the manual has NO INDEX .... and is VERY POORLY laid out ..... you may have found this information when you read from beginning to the end ..... however trying to find such information without reading the entire manual is an exercise in FRUSTRATION and most people simply give up in disgust and search for the answer online .... which frequently leads them to MY videos (hence the reason these get so many views in comparison to my other topics) .... do have a nice day 😁 ..... and enjoy your musical products 🤣
@@ringoze I didn't even know there was a PDF manual (somebody must have scanned the paper manual and put the PDF on the internet) .... I bought mine long ago and it came with paper manuals but NO internet links 🙂 ..... a long time ago they would actually give you a paper manual because that was all there was 🤣
In the next video, I will test the MIDI input..... and we will see if the BASS is able to follow the MIDI notes..... "subscribe and ring the bell so you wont miss a thing" 🤣 .... cause you will have to wait for that video to find out 👍

Yes sure..... the various Bass sounds are OK ..... BUT USING them for songs is an exercise in frustration..... it is far from practical unless you use MIDI IN and OUT and play the Bass from a keyboard and record it into a sequencer track of a DAW or workstation ....even if that can work (and I would have to test it out) it is NOT practical to use the Bass in the drumming Patterns for genuine music production ..... the bass is nothing more than a GIMMICK to sell the product and many are very disappointed over it
