A perfect re-imagination of this iconic song, definitely not a cover. This version is so eerie, haunting, and surreal. Pau doing that horror movie neck twist before she says the prayer creeps out. This is what happens after mom and dad turn off the light and close the door.

So Metallica's team reached out to Alessia Cara about participating on the Black List. Of course she said yes. Well her international manager is Chris Smith, who happens to be The Warning's IM as well. He suggested to AC to collab with The Warning and here we are. DPA along with producer Matt Squire the ones who wrote the piece and they recorded it with AC over Zoom. This was all done within a week. Was looking forward to this one. Good job.

Oh yes, this is the best re-vised and re-envisioned cover of an all-time classic of Enter Sandman, so much I feel it has a life of its own. I love the haunting vocals, and the cinematics of the video really sells the nightmare-ish dream world. Now on to their Mayday EP, 6 songs of pure magic (4 w/videos, 2 w/o), let's go.

This is my favorite Warning song ever. We all know what great musicians these women are but can we all please take a moment to acknowledge just how great these sisters handle their vocals? The harmonies are out of this world and the blending of their voices together with Alessia take things to another level. We may of been warned but was anyone really ready for the level of talent these musical assassins have achieved. These ladies are straight killers.

The Warning started where Metallica ended *Enter Sandman.* Then brought it back to where Metallica started. *Noteworthy:* Metallica asked Alessia Cara to be on the Blacklist album. Some rep who works for Alessia, who also happens to work for the Warning ask Alessia if she wanted to collaborate with The Warning. She said yes. Metallica had no problem. Since Alessia Cara is from Canada & The Warning is from Mexico. They could record or film together in person due to COVID-19 restrictions. The Warning also had about a week or two to record the song & the video.

Since Cara couldn't travel, they came up with her projection as a 'ghost effect'. I think it works! As a fan of all the gals, I was happy to hear that Ms. Cara, known for her pop and singer/songwriter music, is excited about doing more rock type songs! In any case, I think they did a great job resurrecting a classic, their way!

Without the internet this song and video couldn't happen. Alessia did her part from her Canada and The Warning did their part in Mexico. That's why Alessia was on video in the video. Very cool result and a cool reaction video!

Been wondering if you guys would get to this,but great point of view taking that "feminine" perspective into it,never really thought of it like that - but so true. If you liked this,you're gonna love their next one "Martirio" released within a fortnight of this,and if that doesn't blow your mind,the even newer one "Disciple" will leave you speechless. Thanks for the comments, but we have to admit, it’s all the Warning works here. In one week they recorded, edited, played the music, and all the visual it’s their work don’t misunderstand me, but Alessia did 5% and the Warning did the rest up to the hundred %. So, and it ended up on the black album as the first version chosen by the Metallica team…

I can't agree that Alessia should ever be a permanent member of The Warning..LOL...no, her voice style is not condusive to the overall Rock style of The Warning. This collab is a novelty and it worked. Let's leave it right there. LOL. That aside, awesome reaction! I love how you two really get into it!

But if anyone thinks that another member is necessary to elevate this band ... think again... try to fix something that ain't broke is several levels below "not too smart". Like Barry said turn it upside down inside out. Play it more or less backwards? Old Skule Nerd, a reacter I follow, pointed out that the original ends with a long fade out, the Warning sorta faded in. They end with Metallica's riff, if anything harder, basically how Metallica started the song. So backwards? Great reaction!

They had the "balls" to reinvented this iconic classic back into the demented and creepy lullaby it was originally written to be! Let there be no mistake on this- Alessia Cara asked The Warning to help because she did not have any idea what to do with this opportunity. She and The Warning put is together and shot it in 1 week. Alessia in Canada and The Warning in Monterrey, Mexico. That is why Alessia appears as a projection- she could not get there to join them. The video was shot in an abandoned textile mill in Monterrey area. Personally while I can appreciate Alessia Cara, her role in this could have ended after the first 30 seconds or so. She was insignificant to me the in the rest of the video. It was all The Warning just killing it!! 🤘🤘🤘😍😍😍

I partly disagree. Having Alessia's vocals throughout the video kept the ghostly, haunting backdrop to The Warning's powerful parts. The 3 stage reprisal would not have worked as well without Alessia.

In an interview with James Hetfield he said Enter Sandman premise is about people dreams also in an interview with The Warning they said the only instructions they got from Metallica was to stay true to the lyrics but do what you with the music. They went back to the original idea and made dreamy like and to me they nailed it keeping the heavy at time like Metallica. I haven't seen any comments from Metallica publicly that would be cool to see

Don't forget the song was originally written as a lullaby. They took it back down to that level in some places. They were also told they could play it backwards if they wanted. They sort of did. Their intro was Metallica's original outro, and their outro was Metallica's original intro. In their first cover of this song, they were kids. In this one they are three lioness's on the prowl walking through that building & down the stairs.

I always look forward to your guys's reaction to the The Warning. Instant Enter Sandman reimagined classic. Made it there own with a straight up homage to Metallica at the end dressed in black of coarse. I like your comment, they all should be in the band, and the "don't bring me into this" about the word femmininitee. I'm a guy so I don't know how to spell it or use it in a sentence ha ha. You REALLY need to do the second single by PLUSH! You already did Hate - they just released Athena a couple weeks ago. They also do a cover of Isolation (Alter Bridge) and Down in a Hole (AIC) that are absolutely incredible!
