I have listened to Alestorm since they were Battleheart, and Patty Gurdy for the last few years on youtube. you are right, this blew my mind and I didn't know I needed this. next level was as far as my thoughts went before my brain conked out from overload

I think collaboration is a better term than "featuring". She's a band member in this song and it goes WAY harder than it should.

Awesome reaction! I love this song and had the same reaction the first time I heard it. Love that it is a straight forward Pirate Power Metal track. I have always loved Alestorm's silliness combined with great music but this really showcases how great a power metal band they are. Then add on Patty;s hurdy gurdy (I love any song with hurdy gurdy in it) and her perfect vocals and like you say this is a match made in heaven. This song has been living in my brain rent free ever since it was released.
