I wouldn't want Harper to be the 3rd string and made Alex take Harper for granted like she does from time to time in the show so nope, I'm oppose to this couple
i don’t think she was meant to be with stevie at all. i distinctly remember max, justin, and alex using the IPP after reading stories that seemed a little too close to their lives (they were written by harper from the future), and when alex got mad after finding out, FUTURE HARPER had said “did mason break up with you already?” i feel like it was a major 2023 take for the producers. i’m sure if there was a rewrite, or if WOWP never existed and dropped as a new show in 2023, absolutely they would be together in some capacity.
@@trishapaytaskitchenfloor they actually left that out... They could have honestly get Future Harper back and the book she wrote actually mentioned Juliet and Mason so yeah... Future Harper also stated that in the future, people knew about Wizards thus Harper writing the book...

@@CaptainMarvel-ew7rn I think they're referring to the fact that the character recently said they DID intend to make her bi but there was too much pressure against it so they "censored" it and made it this. I think it was on the new Wizards of Waverly Place podcast.
If it makes you guys feel better. Stevie was apparently put back together and came back as human put sent to a wizard prison center offscreen. This was confirmed by the showrunners.
I do see the flirtatious nature of Stevie and how Alex is drawn to her. I know the relationship never came into fruition BUT I can definitely see how that was the desire. I know Disney was not ready for that so from a story telling standpoint it would’ve bogged down the flow of the show if she was just an extra friend. Buuut if they did what they wanted and made them an item it would’ve kept the flow. Plus it’s Haley we’re talking about! Who better to cast?
To anyone who says that "they weren't really together and this is just the creators jumping on the diversity train years later": Keep in mind that these episodes came out in 2010. Gravity Falls came out two years later and ran throughout 2016. Disney refused, all the way up through 2016, to allow the cops to be a couple. They let them have exactly one scene in the finale saying they were into each other and that was it. They gave them a Korrasami moment and that was it. Do you really think a storyline in a Disney show released five years before Obergefell v. Hodges would EVER have the balls to depict a gay couple? We only just got Luz and Amity being a couple on a Disney Channel show and even THAT got shortened because the network decided to go in another direction.
I believe the show runner of this show actually came out and confirmed that they wanted to play with the idea of them together but Disney wouldn’t let them!

Tbh it's the show fault according to WOWP podcast the showrunner season 1-3 wanted to repair mason and Alex relationship in season 4 but he was let go :/ makes sense why mason tone change in season 4🤦🏻♀️
What Mason did was wrong but Stevie would of been worse for Alex. Stevie wanted Alex to destroy the world with her all because she didn't wanna give up her powers. Alex can do better than Stevie.

@@Xoxo0xx0 there's a podcast that Jennifer Stone (Harper) and David DeLuise (Jerry) host and they had one of the head writers of the show on in one of their episodes (episode 8), towards the end of that episode one of the questions they asked the writer what was one storyline he wished he could have explored more and he literally said Alex and Stevie's relationship because they wanted it to be more than friends but Disney would _not_ have allowed that at the time so they got as close as they could
Idk I feel like characters that are too similar are boring as a couple. There’s no dynamic because they behave the exact same in any given situation. Stevie didn’t bring out any of the positive sides of Alex, and on,y encouraged her bad traits. They never would’ve worked. That’s not how real couples function.
I thought the same until the Eat The Beat episode. Stevie saw how toxic Alex and Justin were, and she put a stop to it. It made Alex think more about how much she goes too far, and that a lot of the things she argues about isn’t worth their relationship being ruined. I still don’t think Alex and Stevie should be together long term, but I do think she was a good learning experience for Alex

It's because Harper is the only one who knew Alex better than anyone else... Harper knew Alex may have do alot of rush decisions but she said that in the end, she always made the right decisions and always trusting her to do the right thing... In the episode where Justin believed that Alex is evil when she joined Stevie, Harper is the only one who stand by her side and always believing her
Obviously D!sney & Nickelodeon are rival networks, but I can't help but notice a lot of 'Danger Force' character Chapa's personality and look and attitude in Stevie. They could be siblings, or cousins, or even aunt & niece.
Honestly I'm on stevie's side the wizard competition is very stupid. Why train for years only to have your powers taken away and not even have your memory wiped? You will spend years hating yiur siblings usually

If Disney had not made the twilight parody that was unnecessary, it would have had Alex and Stevie as a couple and the series would have been more epic and successful than it already was.

To be honest they are too alike so it’s not really cute just obnoxious. If they were meant to be a couple it would be kinda toxic, Mason is definitely a option.
I like their relationship but to be honest I didn't really like how badly she thought of Alex in her last episode she says "Alex, the chances of beating Justin are VERY slim." Or her wrecking her friendship with Harper seemed so icky to me. Still love Stevie but those moments just made it clear to me that she probably wasn't the one.

But Alex constantly sought Harper for support and all throughout the show prior to Stevie, Harper was always a very important part of Alex's life. It seemed out of character for her to ever let someone hurt Harper's feelings other than Alex herself.
The show runner recently confirmed that Alex was indeed Bi and that she and Stevie were supposed to end up together. It's so clear that was the plan. Only Disney refused to allow it.

Bruh I'm so tired of these fan made relationships no one can be friends anymore without someone immediately turning left, most of my favorite friendships have been ruined because of this. Now I know the creators were talking about making that so-called relationship a thing but I'm so glad that that didn't happen because she doesn't give off that vibe to me at all.
I can't really imagine Selena playing an LGBT character she just really doesn't seem suited to it. Not to say she doesn't have the range to act that way I just doubt it'd feel believable. Some actors just aren't believable depicting certain types of characters.
I agree it’ll make the relationship look one sided. Like here I guess I can detect Stevie having a crush on Alex (But tbh to me this mostly just kinda looked like a lure) and on Alex’s side I see her more wanting a partner in crime and to mess around with someone more fun than harper
the creator said he actually wanted to explore this but back then disney wasn’t open to it. but there was little subtle hints that hinted at it but obvs they couldn’t explore it. so people aren’t wrong for picking up on it.

Peter (the showrunner) literally said their relationship was "clear to everyone". And he absolutely wasn't kidding- they even mentioned that they may have been able to make their relationship explicit a few years down the line. if your headcanon is that Alex is straight, that's fine, but that clearly wasn't the writers' intention
I know it's hard to accept, but they weren't and gladly so Kinda like Marvel saying Peter Parker was the kid in a Ironman mask in Ironman 2.. he wasn't, but it sounded cool so the creator said sure 😂😂 ..
