Stunning bass player - everyone in this band is superb, Right as hell. I've been listening to you since you first showed p on RU-vid, Alex, and your playing is just heart-melting. Incredible speed, with amazing soulfulness - such a difficult balance. I can't believe you are not better known, even after all this time.
After 65 years. Finally a band that knows how to play REAL MUSIC ! This is like listening to all the music I've listened to for 60 years all in one. SIMPLY EPIC !
Sounds like a song I would like stretched out longer so I can do a 15 minute chore while it soothes in the background. Just stretch out the quieter parts. So good. Wooo!!
OMG Alex that was sensational the band is just extraordinary when please take this as a compliment I was listening to this and for some reason you reminded me of the session musician Lee Ritenour ( must say on Steroids) Just incredible Alex as you know I admire your musicianship as does the world that listens in on these awesome sessions mate! 👏👏👏👏👏🎸🥁🎷🎹
the reason Im here is because i recently bought a boss rc5 looper and Alex was the best guy on you tube to demonstrate how to use the bloody thing plus im in awe of his guitar skills fusion jazz aint my thing (Knopfler & John Mayer) but i appreciate good players
Loving it. Superb musicians and a great recording! Thanks again Alex... Quick question.... wth is with the extended fretboard at the nut end?? I don't think I've seen that before.. are you tuned to give an effective extension at top end or is it standard tuning giving you Eb at fret1? What's going on man!?
Hi, Alex tunes in fourths which normally has C & F for the top two strings. Tom Waghorn added the extra fret to give open B & E but still be in fourths. Alex talked about it in a post a good while back.
@@shredjoe1 Thanks for the info! I really appreciate that. It's not something I think I've seen before so it left me very confused, normally we see extensions at the other end of the fretboard! Ha. I'll see if I can find his video explaining this as I am intrigued. Thanks for taking the time to reply and help clear my confusion, it's very much appreciated! All the best and happy Christmas!
@@shredjoe1 I found a whole load of bids on tuning in 4ths and now feel robbed. Unfortunately, I am a bit old and slow to relearn I think, I'll have to stick to standard tuning, but I love this idea.
Man, the fluidity of your guitar work is wild! I hear influences as wide as Allan Holdsworth, John Petucci, SRV, Greg Howe, and even Dimebag Darrell and it all fuses together so well...
While I also love Valeriy's playing and compositions very much, just like you do, every band member here is outstanding in their own way and the band certainly does not suffer due to his absence... I am especially appreciative of Anton's bass playing (as always - he is world-class superb quality) and also the saxophonist since it is quite rare these days to find a saxophone able to trade licks with a guitarist of Alex's caliber... the two instruments really are perfectly matched for one another due to the extreme expressiveness each offers the listener. The trading of licks between guitar and sax is wonderful, such "dexterity" of phrasings from each player... I wish this song would go on for another ten or even twenty minutes!! Brilliant performances from everyone involved.
