I can hear some strong Gambale influence and you meld it perfectly with your truly distinctive style. Extremely tasty, intense and in the pocket - amazing!
Damn, amazing guitar soloing and musicianship! Great technique, but despite that, you are a true musician I can see. The sax player also really awesome! Bass player too. Great band overall.
wow!! just landed on this video totally by random and man!!! gonna watch them all ! I'm a long time fan Alex, and it was awesome to see you in Paris/Olympia in March 2018 with Steven Wilson during the TTB tour, one of the best concert ever! thank you for sharing this wth us... we're in need of real ive shows these days... hope you'll come back and play in France soon... well, when this f****g pandemic will leave us alone someday, soon we hope.
Hello mate, I'm so pleased you're enjoying the new videos... In fact Part 2 is already up and I'll be uploading Part 3 this afternoon... SO I hope you'll enjoy that too... Yes indeed let's sincerely hope for a brighter 2022 with much more live music too.. All the very best and stay safe... Cheers for now. 👍🙏🎸
That was some very tasty playing. I love the way you just lock into the timing on this. The beginning part with the whole band reminded me of Chick Corea. And I absolutely enjoyed the guitar solo and saxophone back and forth. You're inspiring me to get a saxophone player for my videos now. ☺
So wide tonal range of your guitar! Very interesting the sax/guitar "communication". And, finally, dynamic and phrases... no words! Thank you, Alex and your band
@@DCSeraph LOL Somehow I missed the groaning Thai version of this song, but thanks to Alex's upload today, now I understand what you mean. 🙂 However, I think this version rivals that one simply because I think the saxophone really does belong in every fusion band - as a second lead instrument it really compliments the guitarist very well and this sax player here (like all the russian players) plays to an equally world-class level as Alex always does, their trading licks back and forth is superb. Outstanding version with the unique flavoring added by the sax... love it!!
About the closest I ever got to enjoying "fusion", was listening to Jaco Pastorious's genius.(Yes, I'm a bassist), but this stuff has given me a brand new appreciation of the genre. There's a "joy", in you and your band's playing, that is sadly missing in much of today's music. And that "duel" with the sax player was damn brilliant! Your note choices are reminiscent of early Steve Morse's Dixie Dregs era, and almost "Metal", but in a good way, clever and inspired. Thank you!
@@AlexHutchingsMusic No, thank you for rekindling my appreciation of a genre that I honestly thought I was done with. If you ever make the journey to Australia, that would be fantastic, I'd definitely come to see you guys strut your stuff.👍🙏
Thanks so much Al.. Part 2 is now up if you're interested... Hoping to get a few more tracks from this show out before Christmas.. Hope all's well with you. 👍🎸🙏
Thank you mate, well embarrassingly Ive not checked that album out.... I will now. I know it has Holdsworth on it so I already take it as a great compliment. Thanks so much 👍🎸🙏
Thank you mate. Part 2 is up too if you're interested.. and Later today Part3.. I hope you'll enjoy the other tracks too. All the best mate and thanks for watching 👍🙏🎸
Oh my gosh, you just made my day Alex, thank you for this wonderful early Christmas present!!! I agree that Anton Davidyants is a superb bass player and he also seems like such a super-nice guy too... love this tune!! Absolute bliss...
Brilliant man just in my 40s but I've taught studied 30 yrs Ur doing great, now bro listen too some flamenco it's a truly incredible art which can take U further
Awesome! Though I enjoy and appreciate the vids where you are showing off the "dig me" licks. THIS is was what I needed to hear. Brings me back to the days of fusion with Return to Forever, etc. A cross between you and Miles will be simply amazing!
Super...reminds me when I used to go see "the LA guys" at the Baked Potato or My Place in Sta. Monica ... Lukather, Ritenour, Carlton, Graydon, Ford, Landau, Macalpine.. or bands like Yellow Jackets... and now Alex Hutchings keeping this "first call" genre alive. I hope the kids understand the importance of the musicianship level here... not long ago you had to be a "jazz cat" (old term) to get any top level studio sessions in LA. If you already did sorry I missed it.. but I'll definitely go see you if you come to LA.
Fantastic!!! One tight ensemble right there! To find a bunch of musicians that can play so well together at that level is not an easy task. Seems an odd thing to say, but congratulations!
Thank you brother that’s very kind of you to say so…. Originally I had hoped to do something like that but a few factors meant unfortunately I wasn’t completely happy with what we recorded hence why I’ve not uploaded it sooner. That being said I decided to start sharing a few select parts of the show at least. But I am making plans to start making some music available next 100% I hope you’ll be up for that when it’s ready in 2022. All the very best mate and thanks very much for your support. 👍🎸🙏
