Chris Wilson, Alex Murdaugh’s best friend and law school roommate, testified that Murdaugh’s number one priority was his family. Wilson said Murdaugh appeared “destroyed” after his son and wife were murdered.
But questions about Murdaugh’s alleged opioid addiction led to dramatic testimony during the #MurdaughFamilyMurdersTrial Thursday.

Yes, he was teary...but when the Satterfield son testified about how he stole millions from him and his developmentally disabled adult brother for the death of their mother, who worked for his family for 20 years and took care of his babies....no tears! He looked bored. And dismissive. Zero conscience really. It shows.

Those are the moments to look for, absolutely zero remorse for ripping people off. Not even a reddening of his face in shame. Why is that? Sociopaths do that. The trial is about him murdering his family, that's the only reason he acts all broken up about it - take the camera and courtroom away, play Paul's last video and see what happens.

Only a sociopath deliberately rips off best friends, colleagues, family for over 20-25 years, easily, with a smile, like it's nothing. Pretending to love your friends and family while stealing, taking advantage of a beloved housekeeper sketchy death, one who helped raise your kids, with easy lies, manipulating his entire world, then claiming to be an addict is an insult to real addicts, and his ticket to 30 years no parole. IMO Maggie totally came to know who he was and likely held mor damning truths she was holding over him. A moment of deserved rage for Paul and it's all over.

I think it's telling that AM's only concern for his only surviving son was to try and control his reactions to having his brother & mother murdered & his dad charged w/the crime by asking him why he sounded so glum in one of their (recorded) jailhouse conversations as opposed to being concerned about anything else and certainly for his only surviving family member's safety if he believes there's a killer on the loose who he cannot know wouldn't eliminate him as well! Not even an "I'm afraid for your safety, son"! Not even a reward for the "real" killer/s. Not even so much as a public plea for information leading to his family's murders! Why is that Alex?!

What did he do with the money?? Their theory about him doing this for sympathy sounds bizarre. I think it was about to hit the fan, he & the wife were already on thin ice, if she divorced him when she found out he was in all that trouble, then he’d really have problems. And doing it with the son would allow for the excuse that it was revenge for the boat thing. I wonder if there’s something wrong with him to be doing all these really crazy things, like medically / mentally. He killed the two people who were going to cost him the most money: Paul, because of the boat crash litigation and Maggie whose name went on the Mozelle property to protect it from being taken and because I think he knew she was going to file for divorce. She had more to lose by remaining married to him than not,. Supposedly, she had been to a divorce attorney and was already staying most of the time at the beach house. I'm trying to remain central but it's almost impossible anymore. The phone records and Paul's video from the kennels are what will do him in. She killed her right before the deposit (which she didn't have) was due, which would have resulted in everyone knowing about her addiction. Same scenario here. The jig was about to be up. Correction: the burden of proof is not "beyond any and all reasonable doubt." The burden is beyond A reasonable doubt -- big difference. This kind of incorrect information is what is misleading people. A reasonable doubt is based on reason and common sense. While the State has put on a disorganized case, the evidence -- using common sense -- has met the legal burden.

I think Alex had it with Paul , the boat accident was going to break him for good, Paul was the baby, Mama's always take up for the baby of the family, I think that was the reason she was going to leave Alex!
