It seems to me that if they downsized to ONE house, got rid of the excessive staff, had Maggie and her sons get JOBS, to me it sounds like they could have afforded to pay that lawsuit. Ms Maggie is a Southern Lady who did not have to work. She came from money. As for the boys getting jobs, they were in full time education. On the other side of the coin, Alec should’ve lived within his means. My takeaways today: Alex tried to gaslight the housekeeper into corroborating his version of things. He also asked her to clean up the crime scene the day after the murders. Alex likely called 911 from his vehicle. The clothes and two pairs of shoes Alex wore on the night of the murders have never been seen again. Paul would have definitely been using his phone if he were alive to do so before Alex left the property. Before the murders Maggie suggested to the housekeeper that they might not be able to beat the boat case and then a month after the murders Alex was convinced he could beat it "now that Paul's gone" The kennels are well lit, there would have been no place for anyone to hide to ambush Paul and Maggie, Alex also would have been able to see anything going on down there even from up at the house if that's where he was. The water under Paul was likely not there because he was cleaning the kennels. And Paul and Maggie would not have at Moselle that night had Alex not lured them. I’m sure I’m forgetting something but these are my takeaways
@tmp1111
@tmp1111 Год назад
Good summary. You can actually HEAR Alex & Maggie in the background on Paul's video. He says " what's wrong Paul?" And Paul says " it's ok Dad". Maggie said about the bird in the dogs mouth " it's a Ginnie!" (A bird like a turkey but not) and Paul says " no it's a chicken" I don't know why no one has brought this up. that sounds likely, that night there seems to have been something like 15 to 20 people in that house. I don't think it's impossible that someone started making coffee or tea and cleaned up the kitchen in the meantime. that whole story about what the Housekeeper found the morning after is of little value. 15 and 20 people who have been in the house that evening, and a police search of the house.that evening the police were apparently still there that morning

@edwinacaparelli9911

The reason he killed was not because he was aggressive or jealous or any of the typical reasons men killed their spouses and their children. That's because this is greed motive. He was backed into a corner. His motive was greed. Whereas most women and children are killed by the father when there are patterns of physical abuse mental abuse and anger issues. I don't think that that happened here I think it's a completely different reasoning.
@TheVAULTofHORROR
@TheVAULTofHORROR Год назад
Anyone following this case can tell you that his motive was not greed, but fear of spending the last of his days in prison for the financial crimes that surely would have been exposed during Paul's legal battle. Not only that, this video clearly stated that Alec wasn't abuse a day in in his life.

They know financial ruin and shame are coming and they want to spare them, like a mercy killing. Buster was left as the name bearer of Randolph Murdaugh. He was deemed by Alex to be the only one who could survive the aftermath of the boat trial and the revelation of Alex's myriad swindes. They're hearing other's testimonies and could be tainted by them. If anyone knows about this, I'd appreciate your answer. Not sure why the opposing council gets a preview of witness testimony. Am I just misunderstanding what's going on?
@wadeh1325
@wadeh1325 Год назад
I think the witnesses are allowed in the court room, even though they are going to testify, is because they are going to be under oath, which in theory wouldn’t be influenced by someone else’s testimony. Obviously in reality, if you’re trying to cover for somebody, you may change your story. But in theory, it shouldn’t matter whether you see someone else testify cause the truth shouldn’t change under oath regardless if they are in there or not. I don’t agree with it though, don’t think they should be allowed to listen to other people on the stand before they get up there

he murdered his family, he said he wasn’t at the kennels he was sleeping now we find out he was at the kennels a the time of the killings, he says his phone is moving independent of hers as a defense but how can your phone move if your sleeping? Either way he’s lied multiple times about what he did that night, he goes to his mothers house that night and we find a jacket with GSR, we can’t find the clothes he was wearing the night of the murder, he mysteriously can’t find a rifle with the same type of shell casings and caliber used in the murder, plus this would be the 3rd time someone accidentally just so happened to die on his property so it’s not very shocking to me that Alex Murdaugh a very rich and powerful person coming from a dynasty of Attorney Generals of that small community got away with a lot more, he even thought he could get away with stealing from his company which was proven, but he isn’t going to get away from this if I’m a juror I’m ready to convict if he doesn’t testify as to why he didn’t tell police or anyone he was down at the kennels at about the time the crimes were committed, why his On Star GPS shows his car starting to leave the property after Paul and Maggys phones stop being used permanently. Why she had a call from Alex a second before her phones display shifted orientation almost as if someone checked to make sure the call they were making to the device went through to secure an alibi. But he didn’t know about the Snapchat did he…he needs to testify as to why all the times he’s been a proven liar in this trial are all to hide very damning evidence that directly points to him as the killer

Oh, he'll get the justice he deserves. Nevermind all the why's and wherefores surrounding the case. It comes down to his presence in Paul's video and why he lied about being at the kennel.. It really is that simple.

@@andrewf2 Impossible....He would have to be the Six Million Dollar Man. To pull this senerio off. I just don't believe it. Have to disagree.

@@kristinalopz1623 ok...then tell me how you hear him speaking on the video Paul made at the scene only minutes before he stops returning texts to his friend.. and why did Alex say he was not at the kennel when the video was made when he is absolutely there.. and why did he tell the caretaker to lie about how long he was at his mom's house and the other woman to lie about what he was wearing. And where are the clothes? And BTW one person can absolutely murder two unsuspecting people in 8 minutes using 2 weapons they don't know you have brought. And why did he take over an hour to all 911 and why does every body language expert on earth say he is lying when he is being questioned in the front seat of the car..

He killed them because his whole world was crashing down around him and he didn't want to tell his wife he had been fired earlier that day and was being investigated for stealing millions from his law firm. And any guy so effed up as to steal millions from those two brothers, the sons of the dead housekeeper, one of whom is severely disabled, is absolutely effed up enough to kill someone.
