@LRosex28 Jagr mainly wasn't a good player because of his points even tho he was amazing at that, it's his ability to control and cover the puck and open up space that makes him such a strong player.
@DzekoSucks Jagr has over 2x as many goals and over 3x as many assists. Jagr had 4 season with atleast 121 points, and he had 15 in a row with atleast 70 points- NHL record. The most Ovechkin has had is 112. Jagr is one of the few players to win a Stanley Cup, and World Championship Gold, AND an Olympic Gold. Jagr actually plays well in the playoffs. Obviously Ovechkin is a great player, and his career is pretty far from over, but we will have to see if he can keep his energy for much longer...
@Pwnage2211 Wow the Russian team won against one of the youngest Canadian teams ever! This is a greater victory than the 9th May. You are such a hero!!!
@eight634 If you watch a couple of games, doesn't make you a sport follower. But I'll go out of my way and tell you why his numbers were down this season. Bruce Budreau and the rest of the coaching staff decided to make 10/11 Caps a defense oriented team which resulted in Ovie having to change his game style. They wanted him to dump the puck in more rather than try and beat the defenders 1v1, 1v2. It was obviously a mistake from the coaching staff but despite that, his numbers were still solid.
@WolfhoundMercenary Personally, I was disappointed at first but listening to his reasoning for it makes 100% sense and no rational person would hold a grudge after hearing his reasons.
@xplay101 Wait... you don't hate Jagr for going into the flyers instead? Because I've spoken to many Pens fans and it seems like 90% hold that grudge againts him..
@eight634 He scored 15 goals just like those you know. Being ignorant is the best defense when you dont have a valid argument but seriously, if you want to make statements like that do some fucking research. Read up on what the Caps were trying to achieve this year and you might be able to get my point
@xplay101 Think before spewing out your bullcrap. Ovie is way behind Jagr in points and has a LONG way to go as well, for even reaching Jagr's level. So you can insult and whine at Jaromir Jagr as much as you want. He already has a place in the Hall of Fame.
@LRosex28 lol ovi was on a team with like one other good person jagr had other good players on his team that had goals too and jagrs not even really a scorer look at his assists
@DzekoSucks You obviously don't know much about hockey. Russia was STACKED in the world championships with Ovechkin, Semin, Datsyuk, Fedorov, Malkin, Kovalchuk, Gonchar, and Afinogenov. And you're telling me all the good players are in the playoffs. And the Czechs still won. LOL
