He definitely has the most style of anybody on the list. I'd say the only thing that puts him below anyone else is their creativity on what unusual thing to try to catch the crowd's attention. But he totally reminds me of Vince Carter with his explosiveness and the ferocity of the dunks.
To all those people who don't know Kadour Ziani the dude was doing these dunks in the 90's and early 2000's before everyone started practicing to be professional dunkers, that's almost 15 years before half of these guys he was the originator, pretty incredible at the time no one had seen anything like him at the time.
I don't remember where I seen him but I remember him. I want to say he did an uncredited primo for someone. Other then him, Dobbs is who I think of . He has to be one of the earliest pro dunkers
I grew up with a guy that was 5'5 to 5'6 who could dunk. He use to just glide in the air like it was nothing. He never played basketball or even watched sports but use to just dunk
I don't believe any of these numbers are right..... they say MJ had a 50" vertical but I've never seen him grab the top the the backboard... Verticals are like dixks people seem to feel the need the exaggerate to compensate..
@@christianhenry4173 look up Wilts height + reach + 50" vert. That would mean he could put close to his elbow to the top of the back board. From what I've read the measurements taken back then weren't very accurate.
@@astroboy5456 that's idiotic go watch the films his reach from the tip of his finger is 13 inches. He did reach his arm at the top of the back board go look up the highlights
My favorite #3: Guy Dupuy. The dunk that he shot a 3pt jumper made the shot timed it perfectly to catch the ball after making the shot in mid air and dunked over a dude bent down under the rim. Now that's an insane trick shot dunk
Joel Verdier I have Air up there as my 2nd favorite, but Jordan still has him beat. AUT does some really cool dunks but no one even really knows what the hell Jordan is going to do next.
Second that. He's got swag. Power and no BS dunks usable in a game as he proved endless times. For me nr 1. 2nd would be Reemix (Myree Bowden). 3rd T-Dub, 4th JK....
7:30 Kadour Ziani at the Parc de la pepiniere, Nancy France, represents!! this is where i grew up and i remember seeing Kadour there (like 3 on 3 batigere tournaments, that was a great time!! so proud o fhim getting the first place of this ranking
Jp Pascual that wouldn’t mean his head over rim. Do u know how the vertical test works? And how dunking works? No one jumps there vertical when dunking
Jeremy Hjf32805 there's plenty of guys on this list that could just stand there and jump straight up in the air and hit their shoulders on the rim. These guys are jumping 15 feet away doing 360 windmills jumping over cars of course they got that kind of vertical leap! there's been plenty of players that can grab a quarter off the top of the backboard. Evan Ungar has a 65in vertical leap
James White is the worlds best dunker or was, he's a lil up in age now… Jordan Kil is undoubtedly one of the best none NBA dunkers i agree. Easily top 3, Dude's sick!
That last guy was crazy I'd like to see more of him but I like chris staples dunk where he throws his arms straight out and is literally just riding on air staring at the camera then decides hes bored and figured he'd dunk it finally
Iam short man..but i can jump well. And after checking the reason why. Is :must have strong legs and you made them by raining a lot. And the way how you jump.
Props to the guy who made the video. Never thought he'd even mention Kadour Ziani. This dude was crazy, at 5'10" he could touch the top of the backboard or he could even touch the rim with his foot. His dunk from the free throw Line was impressive too
I think Kilganon has the #1 spot on lockdown. There's your "good dunks" between the legs and 360s and then there's whatever the hell he does all while hitting his shoulders off the rim let alone his head lmao. Awesome list tho!
@@paullaney3339 Well the title says "(not NBA)" and James White was an NBA. Many people are in shock when I tell them he played in the NBA. Overall James White is the top 5 best dunker in the whole NBA, Professional, NCAA D1 or regular. Even Las Vegas and most bookies had him winning the NBA dunk contest, unfortunately he looked tired and didn't do well.
That dunk staples did in the beginning of the video where he crucifixed then froze in the air while gliding pass the rim then 180'd while cuffing the ball and poked it clean was AMAZING!!!
I really like Terry Cournoyea. 5'9" guy here put at 8. He's jumping non-dominant foot last which means less height but more power and still getting a 540 two handed.
I think Jonathan Clark is easy one of the best dunkers ever he’s so flexible and athletic and is the only person to double eastbay and I think will be for a while he’s so perfect for dunking
Double Eastbay was only on a 9'8 rim (still extremely impressive obviously). I'd put Jordan number 1 and Clark number 2 of I was the one making the list
Anyone else feel like T Dub looked like he was getting an extra boost while in mid air. He always seemed to end up higher than where I thought his jump would get him.
Marko Paunović yeap... his head would be ar 11'2" or 340cm...by more than a foot at least which means his shoulders should be touching the rim...no way he can jump that high
Sam Peskoff So can people shorter than him. Here's a list of the ones I remember: Jordan Kilganon, Will Bunton, Young Hollywood, Isaac White, and others, all of whom have around a 50" vertical. Also, the video of Dupuy kissing the rim is the highest I've seen him go. Also, if Guy had a 59" vertical, he would be able to dunk on a 12' rim, but the highest he's dunked on is 11'3" and he barely got that (still ridiculously impressive though). Anyone who is around 5'10"-6'0" tall that has a 48"-50" vertical can kiss the rim. Someone who is 6'0" tall with a 48" (or 4') vertical will have the top of their head at the rim. Based on all that, Guy's vertical would be anywhere between 47"-51". They get the 59" vertical from Guy's box jump. If we were gonna go by that, then Jordan Kilganon would have a 75" vertical, which we all know is not true (his vertical is around 48"-52"). The highest I've seen Kilganon dunk was on the first season of the Dunk King. It was his 3rd dunk, 1st dunk of the battle round, where he jumped over 2 people (one is 6'3") twisted back his body and dunked it home. The top of his head was around 2"-4" above the rim and Jordan is about 6'1" tall, so you do the math.
You guys either don't know, or are forgetting about how your vertical is measured. It's not just about how far your feet leave the ground. It's measured from a flat-footed standstill, and it's about how far you can reach with your hand at the top of your jump.
Dont b im 5'9 and can just about dunk you have too train with leg weight's on my pal was 6'4 as a teen growing up he made me so jealous that he could dunk so i trained alone without the ball with leg weights for 2 months when i took them off i gained 6 inches at least in my jump then i dunked in a one on one against my homie they all thought that voodoo was at work they was puzzled too how i got so much hang time so dont be jealous. BE SMART,,,, gets some leg weights fast bro ok !?
JWilson12 it has been mission impossible for a long time, probably changed it for the show due to copyright. Changed Guy Dupuys nickname from ‘The Frequent Flyer’ to ‘The French Villian” as well
@@millsymb1883 Good point by you. I'm sure the Hollyweird execs were gonna sue him if he kept the "Mission Impossible" nickname. Screw it, "MythKiller" is better anyway.
The Last Digit of like is u Michael Jordan Shaq Karl Malone LEBRON JAMES STEPHEN CURRY Kyrie Irving Larry Bird Earl Monroe Blake griffin James harden Russel Westbrook Wilt Chamerlin 100 point game
Kadour ziani also did a lot people never tried and he have the greastest vertical of all time and the only who can do the foot to the rim and he was the trainer of jordan kilganon
