When I first saw that video I thought that DC was being a bit over dramatic but then I saw Alex drop Jiri with one leg kick and I realized DC was not acting 😂
Yep I had knew people would’ve thought DC was kidding because nobody really knows about leg kicks, it’s funny people weigh punches heavier and more effective but kicks are like baseball bats and you can throw them way harder than any punch (with training of course). You wouldn’t even want to hold pads for Alex, he hits way too hard.
The way he throws his leg kick is so interesting it looks like he's gonna swing his shin and you can check it but then he like loops it around and brings his foot into your shin instead and you really can't check that
@@nofearofwatergrowing up when we fought, all of us avoided/ would only use leg kicks unless we were in danger. People don't realize a well placed kick is like getting hit by a sledgehammer

I personally disagree. He was great. Easily an All Time Great. But Stipe beat him twice. Can we please put some respect on Stipes name? It's crazy how little he gets. Let alone Fedor, and a huge number of 205ers such as Shogun. DC wasn't as humble when he was fighting. Jones is probably the best fight ever if you can get past the juicing.
@@tomr1991 When DC fought stipe he was 40+ years old 5,9 and managed to knock prime Stipe out in the 1st round along with picking him up like a sack of potatoes. DC also had hip surgery so he couldn't wrestle to the best of his ability, all 3 fights were competitive with Stipe. Stipe is the greatest heavyweight of all time but everyone knows prime DC would of mauled him. Hence why DC is higher on the all time list than Stipe.

People gotta give izzy more credit for fighting this monster four times and actually beating him once after losing to him 3 times and getting finished by him twice and still fighting him after those two finishes Ap isn't an easy fight for anyone 😅

The fact that in the first fight Izzy handled those leg kicks for 5 rounds shows how underrated he is. Eventually they caught up to him but damn 5 rounds!
My brother does the same thing DC does when he starts speaking to people that doesn’t speak English as a first language. He starts speaking broken English like that is supposed to be easier to understand or something.
Using less words, especially less complicated descriptive words most definitely helps. It’s done all the time, how you seem to think it does nothing is beyond me.
His low leg kicks are probably the strongest weapon out of anyone in the ufc. Literally 4-5 kicks and his opponent starts changing their game plan. Most other fighters have a variety of weapons, but none are that dominant.

Tbh I think he has one of the best leg kicks I’ve seen. It’s so unorthodox and un telegraphed and just the weird angle he throws his calf kick is crazy
