I feel like Alex and Meredith are even closer than what her and Cristina were. she never came to see Mer, after everything that happened to her. Alex is her one true best friend
My best friend Austin and I are like this. We’ve had each others backs since middle school. We are now approaching our thirties. We are married to our spouses but we always have love for each other. He’s my brother. My person.
I honestly hated the way his story ended. Apart from Meredith he had the most journeyed transformations as a character on the show and turned out to one of the hearts of the show. And for him to leave the way he did was heartbreaking.
i miss Alex, i miss seeing both of them together, they are not just Best of friends they are like brother and sister.. i love how they treat each other well.. i also miss seeing MAGIC together
Since day one he’s been a real one to Meredith regardless of how he treated everyone else he always treated her with respect and I live for this relationship
He decided to leave the show, so they had to make him leave somehow without killing him or getting rid of Jo too. I rly hated the way his character arc ended but I guess it was the best they could do :/
@@jocelynn.farias true but then they would have to get rid of jo too cause she was his wife. Making them stay together whilst him not being in the show anymore would've been too complicated probably. It makes me kinda sad but i also see why it had to happen
I liked that he ended up with Izzie (yeah, yeah, I know... "poor Jo 😭 ", "Are you crazy?", ect, ect, Idc)... and Justin Chambers needed mental rest. So for me, I just wanted to see Alex and Izzie actually together on screen.
I love that Alex and Meredith literally only had a sibling relationship and they didn’t try to do more with it. That’s what those two needed, a best friend and essentially a sibling to help them process life.
She’s also the first person he tells that he failed his exam in that thanksgiving episode, and him telling her she could talk to him and the ugly truth that she’d rather her mom have cancer, and that one episode of Alex was losing his mojo and talks to Mer even tho she’s drunk but supportive in her way? IM SORRY I JUST MISSED THEM 😭
Grey's Anatomy has given us some great friendships... Meredith-Cristina, Meredith-Alex, Derek-Mark Sloan, Callie-Mark Sloan, Arizona-April....I think these are my favourites. Edit: I liked George and Izzie too. Should have remembered at first only. There was a rare vulnerability in that friendship.
He really stepped up when Derek passed away and it’s the sweetest thing in the world. There friendship is different from everyone else’s and it’s so nice to see
His acting in the background when she was attacked made me cry. He is in the shot for a second and the pain on his face is…. wOW! He was really in the moment.
I miss this man so much 😭 so many years of character development down the drain it's not right 😭 Mer has nobody left now. I mean sure she's got Webber and Bailey but they don't understand her the way her peers did. It breaks my heart that everybody's gone 😫
Gosh you can't count on webber and Bailey especially of how they started treating her when she got an opportunity in S18 to work on Parkiston project gosh they did Meredith dirty.
@@maureenavilia208 honestly that’s fair because they would always fight but they were there for each other. plus alex and mer would compete as well so i don’t necessarily see a difference
@@tuesings Alex acknowledged the competition and saw Mer as someone whom they will help each other and pushed each other to do better, while Yang never she become a shark More.
I love how they can both just constantly call each other out on their shit (in a loving jks way) but the still also always be there for each other at the same time
alex grew on me through the story at times i hated him like when he called out george for repeating intern but he ended up being amazing. i hate how they wrote him off they took m.a.g.i.c away one by one and it broke my heart i honestly hope some come back for the series finale
I loved Alex and Merideth's relationship. I loved seeing how hurt he was, seeing how badly she was beaten. The way he kept it together so he could be near and help her ❤️ He was always soft in the middle and unapologetically honest.
I really appreciate his character develompent. We got to see him in so many different phases of his life & career. Its defenetly not the ending he deserved but I rather that than kill him off (that would've been way to devastating). I guess I see a little bit of my self in his character & enjoyed watching him grow & mature the way he did. Kudos to Justin Chambers for portraying this character so wonderfully!
Everybody needs an Alex in their life. First response to you being hurt what did he do do you want me to beat his ass or kill him? Fun and jokes aside because of his history but it shows his protective instinct to defend his own. I love Alex so much. This clip with Jo reminds me all over of why I couldn't stand her or feel bad that Alex left her and went back to Izzie. Izzie would never have said that in that situation. Zoe lacks empathy and is immature except in scenes with abused victims or Luna (those are the only times I like her). Also Alex said "even if I have to leave, I'm not leaving you" and he was right. He had to leave to go start the life he had always dreamed of and wanted with Izzie an dhis children but Mer would always have him in thoughts, memories and if she really needed him chances are he'd come running.
i miss him so much i always thought he'd be always there and he'd be a paternal figure to the kids and they'd have waffles every sunday like a family 😭
Meredith could of had a stroke. That stroke lead her into a coma where she dreamt up all the seasons since before Derek 's death. When she wakes up...Derek 's there with the kids more grown up....George didn't die....all the rest....but she doesn't remember Derek, she doesn't remember her kids, nor being a surgeon....she learns who she is in the next seasons.....her adventure is finding herself again.....the end of season show is leaving to find herself again..on her terms..... sounds like a good idea for a script to me.....its TV ANY of that kind of stuff is possible with TV ..awww the joy of fantasy...writing.....
