Practice doing a sigh while rolling your tongue back (as seen in the video). As you do it, push air out. That's how I figured out how to do the Chewbacca sound, but I do a gurgling motion to get that one down.
The nose is a big factor believe it or not. More air flow = deeper voice; less air flow = higher pitch. Coupled with regular diaphragmatic deep breathing exercises.
So I made a random noise last night that happened to be a low vocal and was doing it in my room for a while and was so happy! I woke up this morning and couldn’t do it anymore and I can’t figure it out! This is the best tutorial I’ve found and I’m going to have to keep rewatching it till I can do it again.

nice man, I'm jealous bro, it fucking irritates me when people say "vocalists in this kind of industry possess no skill and just scream" when that is not the case at all. Honestly, genetics has a lot to do with it, I'm sure Alex being Russian helps a lot haha
I've been into Death Metal music all my life and that was probably the most awesome and intimidating growl I have ever heard. Your an amazing front man and your band kicks total ass! So glad I was just recently turned on to it.
