This damn fight not only imploded my static, but got me to quit the game and not play it for almost FIVE FUCKING YEARS. I've only recently gotten back into the game to play all the story I missed and Shadowbringers. I'll never forget this nightmare-inducing, butt-wiggling Pepsi Man. Literally ruined the entire game for me. EDIT: Just saw how late the guide was posted relative to the release of the raid. That is freaking hilarious. This fight is legendary.

Very nicely done. Although I don't think I'll be doing these savage modes because doing these feels like I have to read an entire book to do one battle.

You can tank swap differently so they have the exact same jobs for the second iteration. The way my group is doing it is the exact method Xenos Sys used in his second clear video, which is first provoke @ Second Cascade, MT takes it back @ 3rd stack during the 6splashes. OT deals with tether and then provokes it back After MT takes the 3rd stack (MT deals with the second tether). OT takes 2 more stacks and then MT provokes it back and then repeat. Only time someone takes a 4th stack is the MT after sluice digititis. Less stacks, less damage taken, and more stable since EVERYONE will be doing the repeat part the same way as they did the previous phases

cleared it like 5 weeks ago. but then realized my static leaders were retaining their elistest and shut talking about the group till after the clear. we were in this fight for quite awhile.

not gonna lie...like a few others in the comment section, I had assumed the worst when the uploads stopped coming after A2s was thinking MTQ had fallen victim to the static killer known as A3s but here she is, months later, but still at it ...congratz to u

Holy flying watery shit. I knew this fight was bad but I never bothered to learn it. Haven't even gotten into savage yet.

Few corrections/things to note that are of at least minor importance. 1. Hand of pain doesn't actually debuff if you fail it, it's just massive raid damage (so eventually gear will let you survive this at later tiers). 2. ADDs don't give paralysis when they explode, just a heavy electricity DoT. Typically you can actually survive if one gear goes in with some extra healing. 3. The Liquid Gaol that spawns can not be Slowed, but can be Heavied. Having a healer or caster cast their Heavy+40% spell on it (Stone 1, Blizzard 1, Miasma, etc) drastically increases the amount of time you have to DPS it, to the point the check can/should actually be fairly trivial if you can pass hand of pain reliably/meet the enrage. Asides from that though, good video.

I gave up on A1S with a complete lack of time to dedicate to raiding. Congrats on your clear! I'm sure it was hell.

Hey Mizz, I was wondering, think you can do a guide on how players can organize a raid group? I'm from a crafting FC, and recently we decided to pick up raiding. Unfortunately, we've a lot of people unused to difficult content. Farming Void Ark and Alexander Normal just isn't doing it for some of us.

This fight has more mechanics than... Well, they are a lot alright!

Holy... haven't done this yet, but this is how quality end content should be. Proly will help if they do a 3 tier system in Stormblood. That way the 2nd difficulty can be the hard mode with enough levity to appease the crowd, while the 3rd doesn't have to answer to anyone.
