Poor Charlotte. For such an intelligent, charming, lovely, and kind-hearted person, she has had a tough journey with men. Let's hope that Colbourne truly brings her the happiness she deserves. He does really seem to appreciate her qualities but now is too afraid of hurting her, and yet he already has. I like Colbourne and understand his painful experiences, but he will need to do a lot to make amends to Charlotte. It will be fascinating to see how these two are brought back together to a place of trust and healing. I can hardly wait! Thanks for another great video!
Because they renewed Sanditon for 2 seasons instead of just one I suspected that they would find a way to keep the sweethearts apart. After all, they had wrapped up every other outstanding issue. I just didn't expect his speech when dismissing Charlotte to show such late 20th-century/early 21st century sensibilities. While unwelcome sexual harassment has sadly always been "a thing" I don't think unequal positions of power in romance was an issue in early 19th-century England. When my great--grandmother died at only age 37, my great-grandfather owned the third largest dairy in New York City, and he was left with three children aged 12 and under. What did he do? The next year he married the housekeeper. (Sadly, she was not very nice to his first children.) My other great-grandfather on that paternal side also lost his wife before her time. He had 10 children, nine of whom were girls. What did he do? He married his wife's nurse. (He clearly chose better, and his second wife was well loved by his children and grandchildren.) He also had great concerns about marrying off all those daughters and offered to let his good friend's two sons choose any of his daughters for a wife. The two brothers married two sisters, one of whom was my grandmother. When my grandmother initially balked at the arranged marriage because she was sweet on someone else, her relationship was never quite the same with her father. What was most shocking to me is that Charlotte refused to forgive Mr. Colbourne when he came to apologize and then when we find out two months later, that she is now engaged to Ralph Starling (whom Allison teased her about coming to Sanditon to avoid him and with whom she had promised Miss Lambe she wouldn't marry.) There was a lot of screaming the night of the finale at my house. Thankfully, my fictional husband was in his man cave watching a game.
Oh my! Just finished Episode 6 this evening. I wonder what Mrs. Wheatley knows. A tiny preview clip of Season 3 was shown where Charlotte & Alexander see each other at a ball….wondering where, how …! Awe. Thanks Livie. This video gives me hope that they will definitely be together. I would love to see a video that shows when they met, the progression and all their moments together. Someone had made a comment saying Charlotte and Alexander's scenes were not a lot compared to the other characters. I am hoping that writers will make up for that next season. Did they even give a preview of season 3 yet? I get to watch episode 6 tonight.
@@livieE81 I just finished the episode and I saw a 2 seconds preview…😩 just them seeing each other at a ball. Watched it a few more times only to be more sad when I realized it looks like Ralph is with her.☹️☹️
Saw somewhere that it will be a long engagement and Ralph is listed in the credits! Susan will help them clean this mess up. Colbourne hurt Charlotte severely. I think he could have let her down easier! His messed up past better be worth it!

Now are the parts of music, like in the first season. Ones say if we believe in Charlotte and Alexander. Some say that season 3 will start in March, others say that they don't know... Others say that Sanditon needs a 4th season. I get very confused because I have Ataxia cerebulosa, my cerebelo is toasted, I fight to stay alive, there is no cure, and I have Parkinson... Somebody knows the truth about Sanditon

Sidney is some kinda sexy his lips his smile his nose, his physique, but such a bad boy, too old for Charlotte though and worldly. I don't think he really loved her she was a good girl and mystery. He wanted to discover what she was all about. He was so used to loose women after he was hurt so badly. He stepped right back in the same waters that sent him into a whirlwind , men!
I would love to see Charlotte marry Alexander however Charlotte has agreed to marry Ralph. I do believe Charlotte and Ralph are meant to be together Ralph has waited a long time for Charlotte and he wont let her go without a real right. Alexander is not emotionally strong to stand up for what he wants. I do think Charlotte and Alexander meet up at Georgiana Lambs 21 ball. Alexanda will need to admit to himself and Charlotte that he loves her and wants her to be his wife. Before she marries Ralph. If Charlotte marries Ralph them maybe Alexander is meant to marry someone else. Esther would be perfect for Alexander
