I was a manager of a music store in 1986. Cherelle came to our store to do a promotion. I got tickets to her show with New Edition and Force MD’s. I still play her music and his as well. Great voices.
Alexander O’Neal is my all time favorite R&B male singer! I was blessed to meet and take a picture with him and his lovely wife last Valentine’s Day at a concert in Atlanta! I will always love this man!!!!! ❤❤❤❤
I was a teenager in the mid 1980s and I loved both Cherrelle and Alexander O'Neal both individually and as a duo.Great voices and great memories of a great decade ❤️ 💛
Oh my God the memories!!! these two will never ever be forgotten I'm 65,. Both of them Cherrelle and Alexander O'Neal❤❤❤❤ no one could touch them today for modern music Karma unbelievable man fell in love with my son's mother till the day I die. Their music will never get old !!!!!

I named the band the Soul Morticians. My high school boyfriend formed the band. They rehearsed and rehearsed until they were ready and asked band girlfriends for suggestions for names for the band. My ex boyfriend's family owned a funeral home and I suggested Soul Morticians. The band members took a vote and chose that name. Those were fun times but we all knew that O'Neal's voice was extraordinary.

Alexander O’Neal and Cherrelle are both talented R&B artists who achieved success in the 1980s. They collaborated on several memorable songs. They were the greatest singing duo ever created by any musician in the history of R&B. This was back then when the music industry was booming talent and care about what they put out. They were meant to collaborate music together. Alexander will definitely destroy half of these R&B cats who think they got what it takes to be a great singer, so he should have been a biggest artist if he never started doing drugs. The last time I checked…they performed together on the BET awards show a couple of years ago making a tribute to Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Great stuff!!!
Omg my mom had this record when I was a child and I loved to hear the song fake my favorite line is when he say your hair was long but now it’s short you say I got it cut but I don’t see no hair on the floor 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I told my mom that lady she’s gonna be single for life with that fake hair 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hell no! Alex is so much more handsomer than Jahiem! Especially when he was younger! You are looking at how they talk but have nothing in common as far as looks!!!!!
The prevailing thought about entertainers is that the life in the spotlights, the studio, on the stage, and on the charts: is their true life, and all else being: at least: insignificant, and at best: nominal. But in reality, the opposite is true. But how many of these talented people gave their all to that alter-ego they willingly became in the limelight, onstage, in the studio, on tour, as well as under contract: only to be depleted, consumed, exploited, and then discarded? 😢
@@Chapter2_14 Heresay being released in 1986, but it was released in 1987. Affair being Cherrelle's first album, but it was her third album. No mention of Alex's first two singles back in 1982. Hardly any mention of High Priority, Cherrelle's second album.
@@saj8 Ok sounds like you know the real deal thanks for your insight, I'm a fan of the music I grew up on Alexander O Neal I brought all his released albums or should I say CDs vinyl was starting to fade, or should I say CDs were the new format. Thanks again for your input I appreciate your knowledge. At first I thought you were just trolling.
@@Chapter2_14 No problem. It's more of an indictment of TV One needing to do better research, especially when it comes to legendary artists such as Cherrelle and Alex.
