An Alexander Dyer original metal work table with big 4X8' wooden top painted photographic grey. This table has locking casters and features a stabilizer leg so that the table will set rock solid. Come along with me as I build this utilitarian piece.

Outstanding job. My unsolicited advice would be to remove those long bracing tubes and replace them horizontally about 12” down to create a shelf. Install it on the inboard edge of your vertical tube so as to create a 2” relief. You already showed my that you know how to use a skinny wheel, 😂.

Me too! The actual sound is unpleasant and silence seems wrong also; so I am experimenting with sounds that are more agreeable and convey the idea. It's all for fun. Thank you.

Always great videos. I have a technical question, will a singer 20U hook and bobbin case fit a singer 206. Would like to use regular needles.

i don't think that will work. What is it about "regular" needles that you covet?

Thanks for the reply. My issue is that I recently acquired a 206 minus the hook and bobbin case. Being retired, got to keep the cost down. I have from my 20U33 a spare hook and bobbin case. The original 206 parts are a little pricey. Thought if it would work problem solved.

Doing a little poking around on your dilemma here. What general area are you located in? If the stars align and you're anywhere near the Bay Area, CA there's a complete Singer 206K with table on eBay for $100. You could rob parts you need and sell the remaining parts on eBay to actually profit from the acquisition. I know that's a slim chance you're in that area, but thought I'd throw it out there as an idea.
