I love industrial sewing machines and tools. I grew up in the 70's watching Sesame Street and I love time lapse and content that I learn when I watch it. I try to keep my videos moving along with an efficiency and rhythm with interesting shots and color to entertain and inform. I also work in the shop and so some of that makes it on to the channel too. I am always trying to make more interesting content.

Very nice machine! Is there a video or directions out there on how to replace the tension assembly, the split screw that the adjustment knob screws on to one side has broken off of my 117.841. 😢
A lot of those brass tags are property asset tags for a company....seen a lot of them over the years... sometimes i got recruited to put them on equipment too
Put in a fresh needle, make sure it is inserted in the correct direction and thread it in the correct direction too. If any of this is off it won't sew.
Thank you soo much. I just did the motor and now I'm trying to figure how to replace the belt. I can't figure it out and scared I'll mess something up. Do you have a video on this model changing the belt?
I learned many years ago, buy once, cry once, The price difference is not catastrophic. I'm going for the 1508. Also, the lubrication looks more automated on that model, bigger thread capacity, more presser foot lift, vertical axis bobbin. looks like about a $500 price difference for me.
I never have but I think it may be possible with much smaller thread in the bobbin. tex 138. That is really pushing it, I'm sure I have heard folks doing tex 207 with the 138 in the bobbin.
I'm just getting started with workbench time, disassembling to refurbish, on my own old 111. Mine is the old earlier grandpa to the machines in the w150's . . . it's a 111w103 with a generally hated and quickly abandoned stitch length regulator dial at the hand wheel. As I learned after buying it. And there is astonishingly little that I can find online for the model I have. Regardless, this looks like it will be a good hour spent in my learning. Thanks for sharing!!
The tiny screw on my bernina 950 bobbin case is stripped. I think both screws. It was working okay with heavy thread, but when I switched to regular thread, that is when the problem became apparent. Pretty much need a new case and the original is hard to find. I wonder if the “compatible” bernina bobbin cases offered on Amazon might work? Has anyone else tried them. I even wonder if the case I have is not original. Great video, thank you so much! I love fixing old stuff, but my skills pretty limited. You are a good teacher!
I got a pfaff 487 and i' installing a sewmaq motor on it. There was a grounding cable from the sewing machine to the old clutch motor. Where do i screw the grounding cable onto new servo motor ?
Industrial sewing machines are the best , but if you are sewing delicate fabric , you have to use a domestic machine and use haute couture techniques to finish the garment .😊
Hi! I recently acquired a machine the same model as yours. It needs a new belt and I haven’t had any luck trying to figure out which size/kind. Any suggestions? Also, what type of oil do you use to lubricate your machine?
Hi Alexander, I just inherited this machine! I am totally new to sewing and would like to learn how to use it, but it didnt come with a foot pedal. Is it operable without one? If so... how? And where does the pedal attach? Much appreciated if you have an answer to any of my questions!!
This is by far the best video on threading my machine. Thank you. I hope you have other videos on this machine. I just got mine today and I'm eager to learn how to use it.
I find as I go as the bobbin gets less full I have to make adjustments, Setting up for the material doesn’t necessarily mean you make it through the whole project… keep adjusting
Wow... such a fabrication !!! I am so taken back with all your work and such attention to detail. Thank you for bringing us a probable "hint" to what you do! My question for you is, how to address "k" leg frames and wheel caster applications? I haven't heard of a good solution yet. Thank you so much !!!
