True, in the beginning i didnt really like him, but he doesnt take the short route at all, fights anybody. Like against Holloway, he beat him twice it was clear who is the better and the third time he left no questions behind, he dominated.

People keep forgetting Volks special trick if they didn't notice it before at all. This guy is literally the best "In the box" Striker the UFC has seen. He knows when your going to be in his range and as soon as you enter his zone he hits you hard and fast. Just watch his fights. Him being short and small arms is actually an advantage to him. Watching max round 2 he showcases this alot you'll see what I'm talking about. He's definitely gonna mess up Islam's face for sure.

Man I've come to Love Volk during this build up. Just a solid dude, class act, respectful, seems to love what he does, and just an absolute beast of an martial artist. Just brilliant! Deserves all the admiration and praise he gets. Just an outstanding champion. Didnt complain about the judges nothing just a class act in the build up and aftermath. Gained a lifelong fan here
Can't wait for the fight. I actually believe he will go for a double leg straight away and gat a take down at some point just to shock the world. I think volks got a good chance. He's underrated in this fight by too many people

Maybe it’s just volks confidence and mindset that convinces me he can do this but the way he wants to prove it to everyone who needs to be lifted up and believe in themselves…I think he really can shock everyone and fingers crossed! Either way, he dared to try and that’s epic. Money on him.
He has to sell you on the idea that he can win to promote the fight. And the only mma fight he's lost was at 170lbs, so it's not surprising that he's so confident. Unfortunately that has no bearing on how the fight will unfold, because his confidence doesn't truly take into account what Islam brings to the table---how could it when he's never experienced Islam's abilities first hand? I see so many comments basing Volk's likelihood of winning on how confident he is. I just think Islam's game is not only harder to deal with but harder to prepare for, and because of that I think he's rightfully the betting favorite. But I am rooting for Volk.

I was such a Holloway fan I hated on Volko so heavy but after the 3rd and 4th defences and the way he finished them he grew on me cuz he’s so good so this Saturday is gonna be a banger win or loose Volk is still the champ and hasn’t ducked nobody his whole reign
